Me gustó: Large flat field, friendly reception. Spotless facilities and cleaning started again very early in the morning.
Very spacious pitches. I only stayed a night and didn’t have anything other than a take away tea from the friendly food hut but it looked good.

Me gustó: Place is just enough not to large not to small.
Very close to main places we want to visit,very beautiful area.
There's everything you need, drinking water,toilets, showers and you and sink for plates to clean.
You can buy logs for firepit.
The owners are very friendly and helpful

No me gustó: There is no groceries store in town but there is few in 12 min drive

Me gustó: Excellent location, clean facilities, friendly informative welcome. Fresh eggs, milk and homemade cakes available from the front desk.

No me gustó: Pitches felt a little bit squeezed together, and multiple roosters in the field behind that started anything from 2am every morning.

Sadly the roosters are the only reason I wouldn’t stay here again.

We are sorry that the cockerels 🐓gave you an early alarm call, every morning . Unfortunately we have no control over the birds, because they don’t belong to us, but we do get amazingly fresh free range eggs from the farm though.

We appreciate that the site was busy during your stay, as it was half term, but all of our pitches are all around 10 metres wide to allow for guy ropes and for fire safety reasons. If we had known you felt closed in and the cockerels were a problem we would have been very happy to try to find another pitch for you.

We realise that our site will not suit everyone and hope that you find alternative sites in the future that will better suit your needs.

A small site but also didn’t feel cramped and plenty of room between pitches
Owners/staff friendly
Everyone was respectful and friendly

No me gustó: Unfortunately when we arrived someone was parked in the middle of our pitch and the one next to us, and had gone out. The owners did tell us that they had been asked to move but clearly ignored them. We had to wait until they had returned and moved before we could then start setting up, not the owners fault but it wasn’t a great start after travelling over 6 hours.
Another person staying near us had a cat which they kept letting roam free and would hide under our car, even after we had made it known our dog was not friendly to cats and would react when it came near. I would keep seeing them trying to coax it from wherever it was hidden which did become a bit tedious.

We fully appreciate that after a long journey our guests want to arrive and relax, so to find out that there is a vehicle on the pitch that you have been allocated must be frustrating. Unfortunately despite giving around 10 metres of space to allow for guy ropes etc and pointing out the boundaries during check in, occasionally people will do their own thing and take more space.

With regards to the cat, we asked for it to be on a lead on more than one occasion and despite moving the cat further away from you, it was still left to roam and proved to be a problem for the whole week. Although we don’t have many owners who bring their cats on holiday, it is becoming more common, so we will be adding something to our T’s and C’s in the future.

Despite all of this we really appreciate your understanding in this matter and that you will recommend us to your friends and visit again in the future.
