Strictly Camping

Me gustó: Peaceful, flat, easy ground for pitching. Bob, who met us on arrival, gave us good choices re woodland, open field etc.
The site was quiet so we wondered whether the site is in a growing phase….certainly the number of toilets and washing up facilities would not cope with large numbers of campers

No me gustó: Lack of wash basins. Few of the camping friends we know would go to a site without sufficient wash basins, let alone none.

Me gustó: Nice location with woodland pitches. Each pitch has a covered "kitchen" area with basic prep table and a bin. Toilets and showers are very clean, with hot water available. Massive 60 acre land to explore, with lots of wildlife. If you're lucky you can see deers in the woodland and rabbits across the park. Perfect for bushcraft fun with kids. The owner is really friendly and helpful.

No me gustó: On a minor downside, unfortunately the sound of the nearby motorway with revving motorbikes can be heard at night.

Me gustó: Location was great with really easy access from London, but far enough to feel like your really out in the sticks.

Bob was amazing and provided us with anything extra we needed.

Woodland pitches were spaced out enough to really feel like you were on your own.

Toilets and showers were unbelievably nice and extremely clean. Can't say I've camped somewhere with facilities this good.

Highly recommend and will be revisiting!

Me gustó: Gorgeous blue bell wood - widely spaced pitches so you felt secluded and away from it all. Fantastic place to camp

Beautiful surroundings, stayed in the middle of the forest but had access to lovely shower and toilets. The man was so kind

Me gustó: Great site, nice and quiet and feels very secluded. Large pitches (we were in the woods) with lots of distance between pitches. Great walks around the woods in the site. Lots of nature, saw some deer. The tent pitches in the field and the glam ping field look lovely too. Some of the compost toilets around the site very nice and well kept.
Firepits on all pitches, very friendly owner.

No me gustó: I'm not a huge fan of portaloos so avoided them.
Brother in law came to visit for an afternoon with his partner. We're asked to pay £10 per person to visit (arrived at about 3pm) then told once they had paid they had to be off site by 5 pm. Understandable that they don't want lots of people visiting, but £10 per person for a couple of hours was quite steep.

Me gustó: Beautiful place , really good arrangement and very clean,
The area of the campaign was very good ,and it was near to all the attractions nearby ,

We had two nights stay and we had so much fun with kids 😊

No me gustó: The only thing we have not liked is the sleeping arrangements,the mattress and beds are not so good ,it was not comfortable .

Me gustó: We love this campsite it’s back to basics but with hot showers and some flushing toilets. We stayed on one of the woodland pitches they each have a fire pit and a shelter that you can use for storage and cooking. Owners friendly and helpful. Each evening they come round with logs,kindle and firefighters to buy and also bags of ice. Pitches are a good size and reasonably private.
