Heading for relaxing rural Worcestershire? Think you might enjoy having spectacular views of the Malvern Hills National Landscape direct from your pitch? You’d better be heading for Blackmore Camping and Caravanning Club Site. Located 10 minutes’ drive south of the handsome Victorian spa town of Great Malvern, this peaceful hideaway is your ticket to a restful few days in gorgeous countryside. The well-sheltered, leafy parkland site is managed by the Camping and Caravanning Club, with both members and non-members welcome. Members benefit from a reduced rate, so just make sure you select the correct membership option on your booking. As befits a Club site, it’s got top-notch services. Facilities include well-maintained showers and loos (including accessible facilities), a parent-and-baby room, washing-up sinks and ice-pack freezing. There’s a small shop for your basics (for other items, head for Great Malvern’s supermarkets) and a designated dog walk through woodland for you and any canine chums you’ve brought with you. Campers can explore the Malvern Hills on foot, by bike or on horseback, discovering spectacular views over the valleys, peaks and lush woodland of Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire while on the move. And if you fancy a change of scenery at the end of the day, there’s a dog-friendly pub serving food about 15 minutes’ stroll away.

Me gustó Spacious pitches with shade and level ground, well drained (as we found out with typical BH weather :) Facilities are clean and well managed and the staff were very welcoming and helped to ensure we had adjacent pitches with the others in the party. Great to have a fish and chip trailer on site on Friday too.
Would come again as a base for exploring the area

No me gustó Nothing to dislike about the site. Wifi I always see as a luxury and was a little patchy at times

Me gustó Lovely and tidy site. Was nice and quiet (but wasn't full). Had a nice small onsite shop. Book and dvd swapshop and a few puzzles. Ping pong and pool tables, with tables available for games. Toilet blocks were basic and had a few out of order, but was all noted. Not too far off of the motorway and quite easy to find. The Wi-Fi wasn't great if you need it, but was a nice added extra.
Dave was a great help.

Me gustó Clean and Tidy. We were placed away from the children’s area which made things quieter. However I would say Blackmore Campsite is generally quite quiet anyhow.

Leafletand staff communication were very clear about facilities onsite and when the gates were open and closed.

No me gustó Showers need updating. Apparently this is common feedback about Blackmore Campsite. It’s not to say the toilet and shower area isn’t clean, just I’ve been to Campsites where the shower facilities were better. Suggestions on showers. More room where you can put your clothes and shoes on a hanger or seat where they aren’t going to get splashed while showering. Their needs to be room where you have a dry spot with a seat while drying down with a towel.

I would suggest getting rid of the individual sink cubicles which aren’t required and use this area to build new shower cubicles and then update the original shower cubicles. You need 2-4 sinks together in one area so people can just brush their teeth.

The hills, vales and forests of the Malvern Hills National Landscape are yours for the taking, with walks and bike riders direct from the pitches and scenic hacking on well-schooled horses five minutes away by car. But Worcestershire has many pretty towns to explore too; start your journey of discovery in Great Malvern (five minutes’ drive), where you can take guided walks around the Victorian spa, shop in indie stores and admire the architecture of Great Malvern Priory. The city of Worcester (25 minutes) has a landmark Norman-era cathedral – the burial place of King John (he of Magna Carta fame) and composer Sir Edward Elgar; it’s also well-worth having look at the show-stopping collection of porcelain in the Museum of Royal Worcester, the grand Guildhall and half-timbered Tudor House Museum on historic Friar Street, which is lined with ancient pubs and restaurants. Blackmore Camping and Caravanning is also a handy base camp for forays to the Three Counties Showground (10 minutes); it has a packed year-round roster of agricultural shows, lifestyle events and festivals.
