Of a range of different trees and nature. Ponds are lovely. We had chips and fish on the Friday from the onsite pub and they were absolutely beautiful. The lemon meringue is outstanding.

No me gustó This would not stop me staying but the Shower curtain need changing. No breakfast on Saturday morning. 😔 and pub not open a lot.

Thank you also for your constructive feedback. We regularly wash and rotate our shower curtains as part of our cleaning routine, but we'll check them again to ensure they are looking their best. Our restaurant opening times are advertised in advance, and while we don't currently serve breakfast on every Saturday, we appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration for the future.

No me gustó I was sent the menu when I booked (for a Monday night during the school summer holidays) so expected the restaurant and cafe to be open. It wasn’t open and we didn’t bring gas as we were looking forward to food and drinks out. A bit disappointing and we had to make do with random bits in the fridge. On arrival at the automated gate, It took 5 phone calls to the advertised number before someone picked up so we could gain entry. Only one mobile number is shown on the pitch up website (which didn’t pick up) I happened to find a second mobile number on a different website which did work.

We're very sorry again for the difficulty you experienced accessing the site on arrival. As we explained at the time, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. Your experience highlighted an issue with our automated gate system, and following your report our engineer attended on the Tuesday to repair the fault. We really appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it enabled us to resolve the problem quickly.

Regarding the restaurant, we're sorry for your disappointment. However, we would like to clarify that we do not serve evening meals on weekdays and have never offered evening dining on Mondays. We have checked the information sent to you on 30th July, which clearly stated that our restaurant is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We always aim to provide accurate information before guests arrive so they can plan accordingly.

We appreciate your feedback and are pleased that, despite these issues, you enjoyed your stay overall. We hope you'll consider visiting us again—perhaps over a weekend when you can experience the restaurant and enjoy everything we have to offer.

We also really appreciate you highlighting the issue with the entrance gate. Unfortunately, there was a fault with the gate on your arrival, but we're pleased to say this has now been repaired, and we're sorry for the inconvenience it caused.

Thank you too for your comments regarding the recycling. The signage is located on each bin lid, although we appreciate that recycling systems vary across the country, and we'll certainly take your feedback on board as we continue to improve the information available to our guests.

We're sorry your sat nav brought you via the B1168 and the back lanes. Fortunately, there are excellent A roads leading directly to our site, and we do recommend these routes where possible. Unfortunately, we have no control over the routes chosen by individual sat nav systems.

Me gustó Dislikes…We booked this site as it was half way to meet up with family… We stayed 3 nights on 3 X pitches, NEVER AGAIN!!!! The toilets and shower blocks near restaurant were filthy!! We ended up not using them. Family turned up next to us in their VW camper van and plugged their EHU plug in and came to meet up with us in the restaurant…. meanwhile a family member came to make us aware that the owner ripped the cable out of the EHU point and was on the way to us to have a go about charging a electric vehicle on site. I confronted the owner (who was very rude ) that the vehicle (camper van) was NOT an electric vehicle. This was plain to see it was not an electric vehicle. The owner did not apologise until I confronted him in front of others. The problem did not stop there, we spent a large amount of money in their restaurant as there was 8 of us to be confronted by a dead fly in the chips! The owner did not remove the meal and replace it, they just gave us a new portion of chips! I just want want to say the whole weekend was ruined and we shall never be returning again! We also found a bit strange that we had to dispose of our waste water in the bushes behind our motorhome. I’m now in the process of contacting environmental health.

Del administrador: Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are genuinely sorry that you left feeling disappointed, although we do feel that some of the points raised require clarification.

With regard to the toilet and shower facilities, we have a cleaner attending **twice daily**, and **three times during bank holiday periods**, with cleaning materials and buckets also provided for guests to deal with any accidental mess after use. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for guests who do not leave the facilities as they found them. We are, however, sorry if they were not to the standard you expected during your stay.

Regarding the EHU cable, we would like to clarify what happened. The cable was **not ripped out of the EHU point**, and this type of connection cannot be disconnected in that manner. The issue was that the cable had been plugged into the wrong connection, making it appear that two cables were being used from one pitch. This was made more confusing because one of the cables was black rather than the usual blue or orange camping EHU cable and looked very similar to a vehicle charging cable.

Nigel immediately realised there had been a genuine misunderstanding and apologised. When the matter was raised again in the restaurant, he apologised again. We are therefore sorry that you felt an apology was not given, as we genuinely believed the misunderstanding had been resolved.

We were also very sorry that a fly was found in the bowl of chips. The chips were served separately from the main meal, so the rest of the meal was not affected, and we immediately replaced the portion of chips so that everyone could continue their meal together. We subsequently discovered that the issue had occurred because a fly had entered the vinegar bottle. We have now completely rectified this by introducing sealed-top vinegar bottles. We do appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Finally, regarding the grey water, we did not intend for guests to dispose of dirty waste water inappropriately. Our suggestion was that **clear grey water, free from food debris and other contaminants**, could be released into the trees during the current drought to help the surrounding vegetation and wildlife. We appreciate that this may not have been clear at the time.

We are disappointed to hear that you felt your whole weekend was ruined, particularly as your party chose to eat in our restaurant and we were pleased to have you as guests. We always try to deal with genuine concerns when they are brought to our attention, and we believe we did so on this occasion.

We nevertheless thank you for raising these matters, as the vinegar bottle issue in particular has allowed us to make an immediate improvement.
