Marshlands Alpacas

Me gustó: Run by a really lovely couple, fantastic quiet site - was amazing waking up every morning to the Alpacas.
Small site which was about 50/50 camping and caravans when we stayed.
The onside toilets and showers were always clean and well maintained - the shower is £1 for 7 minutes which is much longer than we've had on other sites, water was always warm and plenty of space to dry off and get changed.
The Alpaca Arms pub is open most evenings, great selection of drinks and reasonable pricing. They put on plenty of events/activities in the evenings so it's easy to get to know other people staying on site (we recommend the music quiz even though we lost!)

Me gustó: Stayed in the alpaca lodge. It was exceptional. The lodge was spotless the shower/toilet blocks were so clean. Lovely added touch of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the showers. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. The pub was lovely and the breakfast we go from the cafe was great! Loved going to see the alpacas on a morning. Will definitely be staying again.

Me gustó: Pitches level and a good size. Grass pitches looked great
Alpacas great to see.
Alpaca Arms a great pub with good selection of both draught and bottle beers as well as top shelf.
Weekend food both breakfast and evening very excellent.
Toilet block clean and maintained.
Train station 10 minute walk away.
As for the owners, once met never forgotten😂

Anymore and we'd have to have the low wattage slow showers rather have quality than quantity on this one, we rarely see a queue when we're cleaning

The ice cream hour although thought £4 was a bit steep for a 99

No me gustó: Our car broke down as leaving and need a rac to come drain oil Julie he owner was extremely rude and told us to get of site and we better nit get oil on the pitch as she didn't want oil on her site!!
We were gobsmacked at this rude response as were the other fellow campers!
And for this reason we won't be returning .

Which is a shame as Gary was lovely and the site was nice but not need to be so Rude.

Del administrador: Your car didnt break down. You put to much oil in and wanted to drop a load out. As I stated we had no objection to the RAC coming out to you but under no circumstances was you to drop your excess oil that you had put in your car on the pitch. Even when you argued you would use a Blanket!! I will not say yes to a unreasonable request for a review sorry. We consider our guests here and nobody wants your engine oil walked into their tent camper or caravan that use the site next.

Me gustó: Well it has been 5 years since we were here last. When we started doing this we said we would always go to different sits. We are so glad we came back wow its even better now. Little hedges separate each pitch with electric if you want it. Over the years they have upgraded the toilets & showers. The bar that's been built has quality & character in spades which Gary looked after while we were there. Julie looked after the food although not a chef all of her food is spot & of a good price too. She was trying out her new Mr Whippy ice cream machine for the first time that was fun but the ice creams were just the trick. Its easy to see why people keep going back great site & top hosting .Well done guys keep up the good work & new ideas.

Me gustó: Quiet, clean and well looked after site. Well placed for touring the area. Barton upon Humber has most things you're likely to need which is only a few miles away.

Me gustó: This was the fourth time we've stayed at Marshlands Alpacas and as ever we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every time we go something new has been added, this time it was a new clubhouse/bar and take away catering at the weekend.
The owners Julie and Gary are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful owners. The site has good sized, flat pitches,lovely clean showers and toilets, and everything is easy to find. The location is nice and quiet and dogs are very welcome.
The new club house is a great addition and vey sociable.
The take away breakfasts are great and were very welcome as we had gas problems with our van this trip.
Thanks to everyone for a great trip, we'll definitely be back (sooner ratther than later)!

Me gustó: It's a very clean and well layed out site, with a brilliant on site bar, I did not try the food because I left it too late to order, but from what I saw other people eating it looked good. The Alpacas cost me a good few hours just watching them mulling around. I would highly recommend a stay here.
