Me gustó Absolutely lovely place to stay for a cosy weekend. The pizza hut and coffee cart are a wonderful extra to this private and natural setting. The hut was really comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Me gustó Had a great weekend with some great entertainment on site and great pizzas served up by the host at there Pizza Hut. The coffee hut and Pizza Hut is a perfect blend into the campsite

No me gustó Nothing really we wanted a rural camp site but with some nice perks.

Me gustó what a gorgeous campsite! we stayed over the weekend and it was such a relaxed experience, Helen and Mark are amazing hosts and were ever so welcoming, each pitch is separated by long grass which is a lovely bonus and gives extra privacy, the coffee cart and pizza were perfect! the kids loved the little games room! all the facilities were clean and we never wanted for anything, highly recommend 👌🏼 ❤️ we will definitely be returning ❤️

If I was to offer a suggestion for a tiny improvement it would be to possibly add a little slide/swing set for toddlers but other than that no complaints at all!

Me gustó The quiet, serene environment. The amount of information we were provided with prior and upon arrival to our stay. The amount of space we had per pitch.

No me gustó Minimal phone signal and no wi-fi which was great to get away from technology once we all arrived and were set up but proved tricky to navigate ourselves to find the nearest shop upon arrival as well as to be able to try and contact the other people we were travelling with as we arrived at separate times.

Me gustó Fantastic small campground. Almost feels like wild camping due to the layout & space between pitches. The coffee cart & pizza place on site are great additions. Really like it's potential as a small live music venue too. Friendly & helpful owners.

Me gustó We had an unforgettable stay at Purple Badger Camping and Fishing Lakes with our young family! The campsite was a perfect little haven, surrounded by nature and so peaceful—it was just what we needed to unwind. The showers and toilets were spotless, which made everything so comfortable and easy.

Helen and Mark were the most wonderful hosts—so friendly and welcoming!

Our kids absolutely loved the Chicken Shed, filled with books and toys. It was such a thoughtful touch that made our days around the campsite extra special. They made new friends, toasted marshmallows, and enjoyed tucking into yummy wood-fired pizzas.

The area around the campsite was fantastic for exploring. We enjoyed biking around Rutland, finding our way through the Wistow Maze, and simply rambling through the beautiful countryside. It was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We can’t wait to come back and create more happy memories!
