Feather Down Farms – Hollings Hill Farm is just the place for a rural getaway that places quality family time as the top priority. Set on a dairy farm just outside of the Malvern Hills in Herefordshire, the glamping units are run by the friendly Knowles family, who will see to it that you’re well looked after. The Knowles are also keen to give you a full introduction to their way of farming. Watch the cows being milked, count the Holstein-Friesian cows in the distance and meet the sheep, ponies and chickens. Austin, Faye and their four children live on the farm. One of them, Freddie, also has a small flock of ewes that lamb in April. The glamping units come with a comfortable bed, a woodburning stove and an outdoor AGA-style cooker – so if your motto is the more alfresco meals the better, you’re all set. For a little extra luxury, the farm also has a hot tub that can be booked for an additional fee, just as long as someone else doesn't reserve it first. That’s plenty to look forward to, but the setting must get an honorary mention too. An hour and 20 minutes’ drive from Birmingham, Hollings Hill Farm is a short drive from the edge of the Malvern Hills, a stunning setting for biking and hiking. The view from the top of the Malverns looks out over the Wye Valley and all the way over to the Cotswolds. The glampsite is a 20-minute drive from Eastnor Castle and 15 minutes from Great Malvern, known for its spring water, antique shops, arts and crafts venues, old bookshops and priory.
