Very little…. The pitch was fine. Grass areas well kept and tidy. First impressions when driving in are it’s nice….cannot think of any more.

Very weird set up.
In the arse end of nowhere. 1 toilet and 1 shower for men and the same for ladies. Both very unclean and outdated.
Dilapidated pizza oven area which looks like it’s not been used in years.
Bin area overflowing beyond capacity with bags upon bags of rubbish which stank.
The photos hide the dumped farm machinery, abandoned ancient static caravans and weird log cabin thing with a washing up area. Your dishes would be cleaner before than after….
Site is set up to sell the static caravans, and touring / camping pitches are an afterthought. In addition you’re to drive at least 30 minutes to anything. Never again.

Very spacious pitches, friendly staff, informative information leaflet, plenty of local amenities, kids loved the ponies

Facilities were basic, all activities for kids were not within walking distance

This site is near Newcastle airport so lots of planes to watch if you’re a lover of planes.
About half a mile down the road was a lovely kids park but we didn’t get unfortunately due to rain.
There’s was a really helpful man on site to get you to your pitch and sort any other problems but unfortunately he is seasonal and is moving on to other sites.

Site was very small, not as it looks on the website.
Toilets and other very few facilities were very poor. Only one toilet for the men.
Wouldn’t stay here again.

Just about everything site warden greeted us on arrival very pleasant advised us where to pitch up. Lovely donkeys and tiny horses and a goat my granddaughter loved them site owner’s daughter made my granddaughter very welcome. Toilets yes need an update but useable. Lovely walks around about. Nice and quiet and tranquil. Wanted to come back the next weekend but great north run on so all full. We will be back

Lovely site and not too overcrowded: the wardens and owner were really lovely and helpful. Facilities not the ritz but after all you have own facilities and they were adequate for our needs. Thankyou

We enjoyed our stay, the site was clean and quiet. The plots are flat and the hookup is easy to access. The staff are friendly and amenities are good. We enjoyed the pub a short walk down the road. It is on the bus route and a train station is across the river. I enjoyed a five mile run on a circuit around the river through the park in Prudhoe. We didn't try the WiFi but the phone signal is very good.

Overall I would comment on the lovely customer service on arrival. The location of the campsite was really good as it was close to Hexham, a local park (Riverside Country Park) and a lovely farm called Brocksbushes.

Unfortunately although the toilet facilities where to a clean usable standard I would suggest providing a cloth and antibacterial spray/wipes for people to wipe down after use as on a couple of occasions (especially in the male toilets) the toilet seats weren’t clean. The toilets(2 of them)/(1) shower facilities are in need of an upgrade which I know the site are aware of but I think this should be reflected in the price campers pay to stay as we have stayed on much better campsites with outstanding facilities and paid a lot less. We had a lot of heavy rain over the weekend we stayed and although that can’t be helped the site wasn’t prepared for that weather either resulting in the ground being massively waterlogged leaving our tent/ground sheet pretty much floating as there was no draining system. There was no space for children to roam/play and given it is a family friendly site you would expect at least a playing field of some sort. The pot wash had no source of lighting so any dishes had to be washed before dark or left till the morning. Also across the pot people had there electric hook up running across the decking causing a trip hazard. There was a bike/car repair shed which I think should be cordoned off to public/customers as there are to many objects that could cause possible harm to people. Lastly the ‘laundry room’ wasn’t much of a laundry room as the neither the washer or dryer worked the warden told us the dryer had broke but hadn’t been replaced.
