Lovely quiet site with hard standing all service pitch.within walking distance of a lovely village pub and good train /bus service to local attractions.
Gordon the warden is very friendly and has lots of local knowledge which he is happy to share.

The toilets are very basic and inadequate for a site of this size ( only 1 women’s shower and 2 women’s toilets) luckily the site was fairly empty when we stayed - would not want to be here if fully booked.

Great setting and location, perfect for what we had planned
Within easy reach of Hadrian’s Wall and Newcastle. Only an hour from Bambrough Castle
We had a spacious fully serviced pitch which functioned perfectly
Gordon the warden is an absolute star, friendly, welcoming, helpful and a mine of local knowledge
Had a great meal at the White Swan in Ovingham

It’s well past its sell by date (by about 50 years) Everything works and Gordon does his best to keep it clean, but it really is grotty

Friendly, helpful staff. Level pitch. Good location for visiting Newcastle and surrounding areas.

Facilities were clean but insufficient capacity for number of touring and tent pitches.

Great site stoped on the hard standing for two nights . toilets and washroom dated but clean (new ones on the way ).The warden is great good knowledge of the area and helpful when needed
Ovingham a 20 minutes walk and wylam about 40 minutes walk the other way with plenty of pubs and shops and cafes

Lovely friendly welcome by the warden Gordon and helpful on places to walk and local castles and places to eat and drink. Great location and quiet site with all hard standing pitches fully serviced.

Old toilets and showers need updating

Friendly staff. Near to walk to the village.

Site had a lot of disused tools and sheds.

Friendly warden who sorted any issues out. Quiet site. Near to transport links. Nice walks nearby.

Site looked as if it was under construction. Old disused caravans, waste land, building equipment and machinery. Small toilet block.

Gordon was so friendly was on hand with information and places to visit ! He even tried to help my boy get out of a tree he was stuck in and gave him a lovely book on hadrians wall! Thank you!

How friendly the organiser was there to help the moment we arrived, gave us information about there area. Very peaceful area plenty of room and not on top of each other.

Toilet block put was very clean

Gordon the campsite caretaker was very helpful and informative. Train station to Carlisle and Newcastle 20 minute walk. Clean and tidy shower block. Nice level pitches.
