  • Walking, cycling and birdwatching at Stover Country Park
  • Outdoor heated pool and two fishing lakes
Twelve Oaks Farm Caravan Park is a quiet family-friendly park set on a working farm around 10 minutes' drive from the historic market town of Newton Abbot. It's within walking distance of the Templer Way heritage trail and a huge country park, as well as a flat and family-friendly cycling trail through woodlands and around lakes to Dartmoor National Park. The outdoor pool is always warm as it's heated by the site's biomass heating system, and there's a fishing lake within walking distance of all pitches. The site also has a small play area to keep the kids entertained. The dishwashing and laundry facilities are housed within the award-winning heated toilet and shower block. Twelve Oaks Farm Caravan Park is easily accessible from the main roads that run either side of Newton Abbot, making the park well placed for shopping trips and evenings out to Torbay, Exeter and Plymouth.

What customers say

Brilliant campsite! Top marks for spotless, modern loos and showers. Staff are super friendly and helpful, pitches are big and tidy, and the heated pool is a hit. Shop and food get the thumbs up too. Wi-Fi can be iffy, and a few pitches aren't dead flat, but overall, a great stay.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Twelve Oaks Campsite is an absolute gem for anyone looking to unwind and relax. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a relaxing stay.

The site itself is beautifully maintained, with spacious pitches. The surroundings are stunning—lush greenery, mature trees, and a real sense of tranquility that makes it easy to switch off from everyday life. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention goes into keeping everything in top condition.

Facilities are excellent—clean, modern, and thoughtfully laid out. Whether you’re camping in a tent, caravan, or motorhome, everything you need is on hand.

What truly sets Twelve Oaks apart,
though, is the warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful.

The campsite shop is a real highlight, especially the selection of farm-produced meat and eggs. You can genuinely taste the difference— perfect for a campsite barbecue or a hearty breakfast. 😋

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Overall a clean and tidy campsite with spacious pitches and friendly staff.
Facilities were fabulously clean and warm, and also had music playing 24/7 which we always think is a great touch. Twelve Oaks also had a well stocked shop on site, was easy to find and access, and was well lit at night. Best bit though were the on-site cats and the spectacular cat-o-van!!

Disliked Push button timer showers!

Local attractions

The site's fishing lake is well stocked with carp – just ask for Jim and he'll tell you all their names... Twelve Oaks Farm Caravan Park also lies halfway along the Templer Way Heritage Trail, a walking route that uses a mixture of rights of way, permissive routes and minor roads to link the seaside town of Teignmouth to Haytor on Dartmoor. The Stover Canal, which was once used to transport granite from the moors to the harbour, is also a short stroll from the park. The woodland, grassland, heathland, marsh and lake areas of the 114-acre Stover Country Park, designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, is half an hour's walk away. The park has a visitor centre, an aerial walkway, a bird hide and picnic areas. Also running through the country park is the Stover Trail – a traffic-free cycling route that connects Newton Abbot to Bovey Tracey, extending towards Lustleigh and Moretonhampstead in Dartmoor National Park.
