Great views, peaceful vibes, and helpful staff. Toilets/showers are spotless. A few minor pitch/water issues are being sorted. Good base for exploring, but no direct bus. Most guests loved it and want to come back.

Liked Lovely site, beautiful views and very spacious pitch with good rates. We had amazing weather which always makes it more enjoyable! Got a little park on site for kids my son loved it. Only a 5 minute drive into Hexham town where we got a Sunday dinner and a walk around plenty well name shops.
Disliked The facilities block was filthy! I’ve never seen more dirty toilets in my life. They was never cleaned in the 4 days I was there and don’t think they’ve been cleaned for a long time if I’m honest. Same poo stains and toothpaste stain from when we arrived to when we left. Also a few times I went and was no toilet roll either. Shower leak all over your clothes could do with some extra pegs to hand things on to stop your clean stuff getting wet.
I was very tempted to go buy cleaning products and deep clean the full block my self
It’s such a shame because they are lovely and modern just need a cleaner to be going regularly to avoid them getting this bad.
I really didn’t want to leave anything negative but it is something that needs sorted for me to come back. I love the site and would love to come back but the hygiene of the toilets needs sorted,
I know a lot of people agreed whilst I was there how filthy it was and hope it something you look at getting a cleaner in like other camp sites I’ve visited.
