What customers say
Charming, well-kept spot with ample space and chilled vibes. Friendly folks, great facilities (toilets/showers spotless!), and a popular cafe with tunes. Perfect for Cotswolds exploring, with local pubs a stroll away. Some guests thought facilities could be better, and a bit of noise was mentioned.

Lovely site in beautiful area of…
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Lovely site in beautiful area of the country. Good facilities, cafe etc. Large pitches, plenty of space around van.
Disliked Toilets were very rundown, dirty and dreadful smell however I do note that they will be upgraded for next season so would not be put off from returning.

Good campsite but could be so much more if issues addressed.
Electric grass tent pitch (maximum 6-berth)
Liked Family friendly, fire pits, Cauldron cafe, children’s play area, washing machines and tumble dryer, friendly staff. Not commercial. Good position to visit local places in the Cotswolds.
Disliked Not enough cleaning of facilities- was excellent when done but appeared to be done once a day by only one person. We were there during half term with the heat wave. More regular cleaning is required when the site is busy. The one person who was doing the cleaning was working his butt off, and should be commended for his hard work but he needs help!
Over flowing rubbish to the point you had to put your rubbish next to the large bins- during busy times increased refuse collection is required.
Not much hot water… showers mostly cold…
No hot water in outside washing up facilities.
The kitchen which has microwaves, toaster and fridges is good. However, it has the only sink for the whole site with hot water for washing up. A big problem is the floor is constantly wet which poses a slip hazard from a health and safety point of view. The kitchen needs a revamp/TLC!

Good location.
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Very friendly, good location and plenty of space around pitch.
Disliked Lack of facilities for the size of the site (closest block of showers were locked off). Toilets were not the cleanest. Water location was in the middle of someone’s pitch.

From the manager: Hi Matt , thanks for your review. Unfortunately the first rule of the campsite being "All children must be supervised by a responsible adult" isn't being followed. the weekend before you came we had a group of children that decided to fill up two toilets with stones and vandalise the shower block by pulling off the piping from the walls. We had a plumber come on friday and do a temporary fix and he will be returning monday to get everything up and running again. Despite this the government guidelines stipulate a minimum of 1 shower per 30 pitches and two toilets. The campsite has 100 pitches with 17 showers and 18 toilets, even with the 6 that were temporarily closed were confident we provide more than enough to service all the pitches we have. Unfortunately we run every single day from march to october , although its rare sometimes maintenance needs to be performed when we are open. going off the reviews weve had this year we will be completely demolishing the top toilets and shower blocks and adding some new ones for next year. Improving the customer experience is very important to us.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, this year we undertook so many renovations, the playpark being one. We did have an influx of bad reviews this week but we appreciate all forms of reviews as it truly shows us where we can improve. We will be updating our top field showers and toilets this winter. SO THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER...I just need to improve my weeding next haha
Nice flat pitches , good playground , toilet dirty staff not helpful
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Grass was fairly flat and pitches marked out with longer grass edges
Disliked Not helpful at all when we had requested to not have a pitch next to children’s playground and our pitch was next to it told our fault as booked tho pitch up and not thro them directly we asked if we could swap to further away as campsite had loads of empty pitches on a back field , but no , No reception to meet you just a phone number , which was fine as we where emailed a toilet pin and given pitch number , toilets showers you need to bring your own toilet paper and spiders everywhere but they worked fine

From the manager: Thank you for your review, This year we have updated our booking system , it means that customers can select their own pitch and self allocate appropriate ones for their needs. unfortunately despite our best efforts were unable to change the pitches assigned by Pitchup. It would mean moving someone from a pitch they have picked to one they have not. We do have all this guidance on our website
Disappointed
Electric grass tent pitch (maximum 4-berth)
Liked Views and pitches
Disliked No hot water in showers on all 3 days. Tried early morning, lunch time and evenings.
Toilet block very run down. Leaky toilets, dirty. Fridges not working or freezers. Generally very run down showers/washing up area. Very disappointed would not return.

From the manager: This year we upgraded our front field toilets, we added four more. We added a new shower block with four new showers. Despite clarification from our plumber the boiler would cope, it has struggled. So next week were adding a secondary boiler to manage the demand. We have also got a plumber coming out on Monday to fix the leaking toilets. AT THE END OF OUR SEASON WE WILL BE REPLACING THE TOP SHOWERS AND TOILETS, so we welcome you to come again and try us next year.
Pitch size and location Cafe area…
Electric grass tent pitch (maximum 4-berth)
Liked Pitch size and location
Cafe area lovely
Disliked Facilities - toilets and showers were sub standard, especially on bottom field.
Lack of hot water, apparently due to issues with the boiler.
flooded communal toilets most of the time

Would go again.
Non-electric grass tent pitch (maximum 4-berth)
Liked Seems friendly atmosphere. Music on Saturday night (we didn't go but nice to have the opportunity). Cafe not to do with them but not bad prices. We were near the road but that wasn't too bad actually traffic slowed. And birdsong.
Disliked Not that many toilets or showers. Got snagged on overhanging brambles in the dark. Group near us getting load at 1am and banging van door... But that's not there fault.

Lovely site with everything you need
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Lovely site with plenty of space, nice & quiet & relaxing. Would definitely stay again! Thanks
Disliked Showers were cold water which was a shame & some of them weren’t working. The only hot shower was in the toilet block & there was only 1 of them which would be busy at peak times.
