  • Large touring site in Warwickshire, with 20 acres of lakes
  • Twycross Zoo 10 minutes’ drive; National Space Centre 35 minutes
  • Lake beaches for sailing, paddleboarding, fishing and windsurfing
Want to spend your holidays lakeside – perhaps relaxing as you wait for fish to bite or honing your paddleboarding skills? You can do all this and more at Bosworth Lakeside Lodges, a family-oriented touring site spread over 50 acres in the Warwickshire countryside. There are 20 acres of lakes here, so you can get up to a wide range of watersports, from boating and kayaking to windsurfing, plus the above-mentioned paddleboarding and fishing. Taster sessions may be available if you fancy trying out something new. There are also colourful pedalos shaped like flamingos, swans and dragons, so you can cut a fine figure on the lake. Fishing in the pools is included for one person in the group (and under 14s go free), and additional adults can join for just a short fee per day. Back on dry land, you can relax on the sandy lake beaches or head to the site’s 12-hole crazy golf course with a nautical theme. For the kids, meanwhile, there's a fab adventure playground, with a dedicated section for youngsters under five. Several picnic and barbecue areas are available, with café and pub catering a mile to the east in the pleasant town of Market Bosworth (five minutes’ drive). Dogs are welcome at Bosworth Lakeside Lodges, but they need to be kept on leads at all times. Please note that this site only accepts family groups and couples aged over 25. On-site facilities include a dedicated toilet and shower block, washing-up facilities, Elsan disposal, fresh water and waste disposal. Calor and Campingaz bottles are available for exchange.

Liked: The scenery.. the pitch up right near the water our daughter loved it as you could just open the gate and be in the water.
We all enjoyed our stay.
Everything was close by.. we only stayed a night which I don't think was long enough next time we'll stay longer.

Disliked: Nothing.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: The setting was lovely.

Disliked: Toilet block was shockingly bad. The showers were filthy, needless to say I didn’t use them.
After 10 years of motor-homing I have never come across such a badly managed toilet/shower block. There wasn’t a great ratio of toilets/showers to the quantity of guests. There wasn’t a ‘closed’ time to enable cleaning. The black mould round the showers was disgusting. There was only 2 working out of the 3 showers in the gents.
If this toilet/shower block was replaced with an appropriate ratio one then this site would be great.

Liked: This is one of our camping sites we go to a lot this was our second time in 2 months that we have come to this site

We absolutely love the ducks & fish that you can see we spent most nights feeding them .

I personally think the price is a little steep for what you are getting as only thing that is included in the price you pay is …. Washing up sink ,showers , toilets, fishing and the park ….. we spent a day fishing and only caught a small fish , the park is okay not much of a park but it’s okay for a hour ish

We also did some water activity’s and tennis courts

Disliked: I personally think the price is a bit steep as we found ourselves paying more and more as the day went on …

Water activity was £15 for the hour wasn’t to bad I thought as that was really good

Tennis court I thought would be free or a reasonable price but we paid £10 for the hour and used our own stuff so I thought that was a bit steep for the price …

The park is only small and isn’t much for the young kids and could do with an upgrade…

The only thing that lets it down from my side would be

Prices are a bit higher could do with some deals or a little price drop as also thought the onsite shop was high £3 for some chocolate

Some things needs an upgrade and would be awesome if they was a cafe or bar or daytime/night time entertainment area just some things to maybe improve on in the future as that would draw more people in

One thing I dislike and not sure if we would be returning as I find it disappointing and disrespectful is ….. the rules no one sticks to the rules and the staff aren’t helpful… we just brought a new caravan and this was our first time out with the new van as we had it 2 weeks … the other campers was playing football and the ball was booted at our caravan a few time so they is marks on my caravan and was the booted from one side of the road to our side and wacked in to my wind breaker that is new and as damage my wind breaker so I don’t think I want to be returning when it says no ball games but was allowing them to boot there ball in to my van I just couldn’t wait to get home and the stress and frustration it made me feel worrying if next it might be a window so I think rules needs to be updated and enforced as all we wants was some peace and all you could hear was the ball bouncing of the caravans……

Local attractions

Twycross Zoo (10 minutes’ drive) is home to almost 100 different species of animals, with a special focus on primates – from great apes like gorillas and orangutans, to monkeys – plus lemurs and meerkats. Younger children might like the immersive touch-and-feel activities in the Gruffalo Discovery Land. The kids may not be in school, but there are real-life history lessons at the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre (10 minutes). Here you can take a guided walk around the fields where the 1485 battle took place, learn about the War of the Roses and discover how King Richard III lost his life in the fray. There are also children’s hunts and talks. Leave the past behind and zoom ahead to the future (or at least into space) at Leicester’s National Space Centre (35 minutes). You can experience what it’s like inside the International Space Station, see a sample of moon rock and learn about the universe in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium.
