Stunning spot with great views, perfect for exploring Mam Tor and Castleton. Campsite and loos are spotless. Friendly host, handy honesty box. Basic facilities, but always clean. Some noise and uneven ground mentioned, but peaceful and brilliant for walks. Highly recommended for short breaks.

Liked Absolutely loved our stay here! Easy to find, stunning scenery, great location. A short walk to a lovely farm shop and a slightly longer walk into Castleton Village. Village was so pretty - had cafes, pubs, coffee shops, bakery and even a fish and chip shop. Campsite seemed to transform at night. Lots of camp fires dotted around, people respectful and just an overall great vibe. Clear instructions from the owner too - will definitely return!

Liked Great campsite. Facilities were kept in good order throughout the weekend. The views are amazing. It was apparently busier than normal and still plenty of space and well managed. Already booking another trip.

Liked The setting. The standard of the facilities. The general positive and friendly vibe of the site. The owner was extremely attentive and present to assist all customers
Disliked The only thing that would make this site perfect would be a basic shower. This isn’t a criticism as I was aware fully when I booked.

Liked What a place!! What a view! Instant access to footpaths galore, quick walk to Castleton, Mam Tor, back Tor, Winnats Pass.
2 honesty boxes if needed.
Pot wash station and drinking water and 4 little toilets that were always clean and fresh!

Great host, I would definitely return as a solo camper ( even price discount for being on your own ).
Such a beautiful place to sit on a night after some hard walking, and soak up stunning countryside ⛰️

Liked Fantastic location at the foot of Mam Tor with Castleton pubs etc a 20mins walk. Very clean toilet facilities and helpfull owners. Amazing views in all directions. Honesty boxes with snacks etc are a nice touch
Disliked Field is quite uneven but there are flat pitches available
