Pickering, North Yorkshire, England
Power optional grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely location with only a short drive to local sites such as Whitby and Pickering.
The site was used for a mixture of seasonal caravans, touring spots with ehu and camping. We found the site very well equipped including a lovely little cafe / shop. All the facilities were spot on.
This is one of the nicest small independent sites we've stayed on in the UK.
Although it has a gentle slope in places, we found no need for levellers.
Disliked No dislikes.

Liked Very nice, well organised site, helpful wardens. Lovely views and good walks either on the nearby canal or other paths. Llangollen is only about 25 mins walk and is also very pretty. Fully serviced pitch and onside fresh milk a bonus.
Disliked Nothing.

Hay-on-Wye, Powys, Wales
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Really nice spacious site with level pitches and spotless facilities. Easy access to public path for a 25 min walk to Hay.
Some traffic noise but not intrusive.
Site in process of being expanded to include more statics . This is in addition to some seasonal pitches.
There are new owners who are investing in the site.
Disliked Minor gripe, no drive over grey waste point that I could find.

From the manager: Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and our park facilities. For future reference, the drive over grey waste disposal is located opposite reception in the same location where you fill up with water. Apologies if this was not pointed out to you. Hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards Team Hay
Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England
Powered gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Stayed two nights at busy weekend. Hardstanding pitches are pretty level and although lots of people and vehicles around the back of the pub,
it was not intrusive . We had a member of staff welcome us and show us our pitch which had water and ehu . Views and good walks from the site with minimal traffic noise. Food and drinks at the pub were excellent and given how busy it was, I'm glad we booked. Toilet/shower/ recycling close by. Definitely a place to return.
Disliked Two toilets and one shower, kept clean but inadequate if site busy, as also used by pub visitors. I understand there are plans to increase these.
