Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite (members only)
Liked Small quiet site with all the necessities, EHU, nice hot shower, toilet , bins, chemical disposal and easy to find shops nearby for all your essential items such as food and drink.
The owners are very friendly and approachable, and the site is easy to find and access… the road leading to the site may be described by some as narrow but it has plenty of space to pass other vehicles and nowhere near as narrow as a lot of other roads in Cornwall 😁.
Shower runs on 20p’s and both myself and partner found 40-60p (60p for her lol ) was plenty for an ice hot unrushed shower.
From a price point of view I would say it’s spot on , certainly not overpriced and great value for money.
We enjoyed 5 nights of peace and quiet despite getting blown about in the wind lol, and waking up to see deer in the field made it feel even more spectacular. would definitely recommend this place .
Disliked The fact we had to leave to return back to our hectic normal lives 🥸

Primitive grass and earth RV campsite
Liked To be honest, what’s not to like ??? Barton’s field is a lovely and peaceful campsite right next to the river … ok so it’s next to a road also , however both times we have stayed here we haven’t noticed any road noise as such . The field is well kept and cut and facilities include washing up area ( with hot water ) , a shower that is lovely and hot and cleaned regularly by the owners, a spacious changing are by the shower , an easy to find fresh water tap and of course the toilets which also are cleaned regular .
What more do you need ? Certainly for us this site is up there among the best we have visited so far and honestly can’t wait to return .
The owners are very friendly and easy to contact should you need to , it may still be a pop up campsite but they certainly take pride in what they are doing and ensuring their guests are ok.
The location is easy to find and close by to supermarkets etc for supplies , if you are just looking for a quick stopover or a relaxing few days away or even a week then I would recommend you give this place a try.
Disliked Absolutely nothing

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked I mean honestly what’s not to like ... the owners are so friendly and welcoming and take pride in the land as well as giving guests the relevant information on best pitches for sunrise/sunset. The site is kept amazingly clean and grass well maintained. Ok so the only facilities available are a tap for fresh running water, refuse disposal bins and a few portable toilets but isn’t that what camping is all about !!! If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing break away from the hype of busy sites crowded with people then this is the place to go. We only stayed for two nights but honestly can’t wait to go back , it was so quiet we actually started to think that we may of been too noisy lol . There are lots of shops available within a short drive and plenty of walks to go on in the surrounding areas.
Disliked That we only stayed 2 nights lol

Liked From the moment we arrived we knew it was going to be a truly amazing break. The owners and staff are all really friendly and welcoming, laundrette, showers and toilets were all kept clean and tidy and well laid out and all with easy reach.
The grass was kept cut and looked lovely , and overall the entire place was kept clean and free from rubbish.
We stayed for a whole week and honestly didn't want to leave, it was so peaceful and can't wait to go back.
Unlike most places we have been there was hot water 24/7 , there were no speed bumps ( big factor for us with a lowered vehicle ) everyone was very helpful and seemed to have a genuine interest in all of there guests and took pride in their work.
The free fishing was a bonus especially as you could rent a rod/net and unhooking mat ( just wish I didn't burn so quickly in the sun or I'd of spent the whole day at the lake)
I couldn't recommend this place enough to anyone, don't just take our word for it ... Get in the car and go see for yourself.
Disliked In all honesty the only thing we disliked was having to leave . There really was nothing to dislike about this place or the people that that own it.
