Disliked Negative reviews! Yes normally you can have fires but unfortunately due to the temperature the grass is extremely dry therefore for the SAFETY of everyone onsite they have taken the decision not to allow them at this time! Which we totally agree with! This is a lovely campsite great for the children, well run with amazing staff/owners, and value for money! 💰 This is our 4th time here and are returning again in August. Regarding the noise from the A17 this is CLEARLY stated in the write up so when people complain about it well you should read before booking 🤦🏻‍♀️ yes there is noise which some earplugs soon sort out! The WiFi is rubbish but you’re camping!! The site does not provide WiFi and does not state that they do!! I disagree that these sorts of comments bring the rating down of a lovely site! We can’t wait to return! See you all soon 💜

From the manager: Louise, thank you for taking the time to review The Beeches. We love having you here as the fact you keep coming back means we are getting things right. Absolutely right with the safety as we do take this seriously and we do not take these decisions to allow open fires and firepit usage lightly. We are a family orientated site as we have spent so much time, effort and money on providing enough for the children to do onsite. Children should be allowed to be children and we love hearing whoops of laughter from them clearly enjoying themselves. Yes we have never hidden the fact we are close to the A17, I do wish we could control the traffic noise but we have done all we can. At the end of the day it’s all down to what you’re used to. For some people this can be a problem. We do have Wi-Fi but this is only to our vans so we can run the site correctly and is very limited in distance. We do work very hard to maintain this site and you are so right about certain reviews which bring down our overall score. We look forward to seeing you all again very soon and thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We all appreciate it!

Liked Love this campsite 🏕️ We have returned twice and will be booking again soon 🌲 The play area keeps the children so entertained and the staff are so lovely and helpful 💜 We enjoy it as it’s only a small campsite so the children can play freely and you know they are safe and we love sitting around the camp fire at night, it’s not camping without a fire 🔥

Disliked I think the only downfall is the showers. There is only 1 shower in each and it can be a squeeze when you are in there with children. Plus there is no shower mat or tray when you get out so when it is busy you get dirty feet as soon as you step out 🙈 maybe a suggestion of a shower mat for inside the shower and a wooden tray for when you step out or a mop/bucket kept in the toilet area so people can quickly mop before and after 🥰

We have concentrated a lot on the children’s play park equipment as well as completely renovating the toilet and shower block over the closed season. You are so right about it not being camping without a fire! We take your comments onboard about the showers and will aim to rectify this to a better solution although we do have plans to already do at least one of your suggestions to help things. Liked Absolutely lovely campsite, owners were so nice and couldn’t do enough for you ☺️ toilets and showers were clean, had a lovely family holiday and will definitely be going back next season 💜 only recommendations would be maybe a kids play area but not essential as plenty to do close by ☺️

Liked Rose was so friendly and helpful. The showers and toilets were spotless however only 2 showers and 2 toilets but not an issue, lovely little site. Will defiently be retuning as soon as possile
