Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Amazing views of Lathkill Dale. We went during the summer holidays and it was quiet when we were there, very considerate fellow campers. Although there was a slight slope to the field there was plenty of space to find a level pitch. The site is a bit exposed to the wind. The toilets were basic but adequate. All worth it for the fantastic views, peaceful atmosphere and wild feel of the campsite. Over Haddon and some lovely walks are easily accessible from the campsite, and a decent pub within walking distance. It’s great not to have to get in the car to access those things.
The owner Neil was on site often and was very approachable and relaxed. Furthermore he went above and beyond to help me out with a car problem for which I’m so grateful - thanks again Neil!
