Liked Great, back to basics campsite with welcoming owner. Animals in the barns provided some light entertainment when washing up etc. Who doesn't love a goat? Phenomenal views of Crich and the Ambergate Valley. We walked from the site down to Wirksworth and then back along the HPT and Midshires, beer required after that last climb.

Disliked Nothing! Be aware, this is a working farm so, yes, there can be animal noises. Also, the field is slightly sloping but there's plenty of options to find a flat spot.

Liked Always a great stay at Pencarnan. First place we could think of to take our new van and we couldn't have chosen better

Liked Great little campsite, only 6 pitches onsite. A great base to explore Wharfedale and the surrounding areas. Onsite pizzas are 👌 as is the local pub. Facilities well kept and pitches are well spaced.

Disliked Just for awareness, there is only one toilet onsite, which if the site was full of 4 person pitches, you might find yourself waiting in a line at peak times. Also, be aware access is under a low narrow arch.

Liked Great view, ace location. Lovely quiet site even when fully booked! Fire pits added a lovely touch looking around in the wee hours seeing everyone sat outside!

Liked Easy access, good facilities and a very sheltered field considering its position to the A458. Served as a good base for visiting Shrewsbury
