Primitive grass and earth campsite

Liked: The stream

Disliked: The only site accessible is the one along the road. No way to drive along the property. Was very hard to maneuver the camper onto the grass and it is situated where the house next door is staring at you and vice versa. I just don’t feel that it’s a campground.

From the manager: I spoke to you nd explained THE EXACT SITUATION! I explained that I've spent 3 years cutting down 80 big ash trees and there is stacks of wood, downed trees etc. You told me you had a camper and I EXPLAINED THAT ON ALL AND EVERY DAY you can set up on or close to driveway WHICH IS CLOSE TO THE STREET ONLY! If your sole direction of visual was South West you would be looking at his house next door; maybe next time you try looking in another direction? Did you walk around any other areas of the 3 acres? I was TOTALLY upfront about the situation. As we all know, NYS doesn't open camp grounds until May.My other camps sites are not in ab Ash tree situation. Your review is your review; I won't be dealing with you at any price. If I painted a different pitcher, different story. I'm sorry your stay was so rotton. BTW, my neighbor is in a wheel chair and he couldn't possible care about another camping there. Oh, thanks for the litter;nice

Local attractions

Binghamton University Nature Preserve (five minutes’ drive) spreads over 190 acres of land south of the campus and is crossed by a number of trails, including seasonal routes popular with cross-country skiers. Keep your eyes peeled for white-tailed deer, beavers and coyotes, plus herons and kingfishers in the wetlands. If you prefer your animals domesticated and huggable, head to Edwards Petting Farm (five minutes), where you can get up close and personal with rabbits, goats and pigs, or go on a pony ride. The owners of this working farm will personally give you a guided tour of the premises and introduce you to their livestock. Budding astronomers might appreciate a trip to Kopernik Observatory Science (10 minutes), a hilltop facility running regular sessions with themed presentations and guided tours, not to mention (of course) the chance to look at the night sky through their three powerful telescopes.
