It's free, quick and easy!
- Friendly, well-shaded site 15 minutes' walk from the centre of Kaş
- Close to the Lycian Way and a few minutes' walk from the nearest beach
- Restaurant, campers' kitchen and bike hire on site
What a cracking spot Kaş is… on the Lycian Way for walkers, with top-notch diving for sub-aqua sorts, ruins nearby for those who like a history-based hol and some splendid beaches for folk who favour doing little other than sunning themselves on the sands.
Handily placed for all such activities is Gizli Vadi Kamping, a friendly site 15 minutes’ stroll from the centre of the Antalya seaside resort. Guests can get directly out onto the Lycian Way from the site, or wander down to the nearest sandy beach in a leisurely five minutes or so. Snorkelling, paragliding and canyoning outings can all be had nearby for times when you’re feeling active, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in town for times when you’re not (or when your post-activity plan demands food and cool beers).
Too far to trek for food? No need to starve – there’s a restaurant on site for feeds in the morning and evening, along with a campers’ kitchen for those who’d prefer a self-catering supper. You can light up a barbecue or campfire to cook over flame if you like, and there are bikes available for hire for jaunts into town to pick up all the necessaries.

Local attractions
Folk come to Kaş from all over for the excellent scuba diving around these parts – there are several setups in town that run courses and take experienced divers out to see the ancient relics scattered around the seabed and meet the turtles, rays and other marine beasties that hang around.
If you’re not up for taking the plunge to such depths, sign up for snorkelling instead, or stay up on the surface for boat trips to nearby beaches, islands or the stunning Kaputas Blue Cave. At the other end of the spectrum, paragliding outfits in town can sort you with epic views from above if you’ve got a head for heights.
A bit of culture on the menu too? Start at the Antiphellos amphitheatre just outside Kaş (10 minutes’ drive), then move on to the ruins of Xanthos and Patara (both 50 minutes). Kyaneai (half an hour), Aperlai (35 minutes) and the sunken ruins of Simena (50 minutes) are worth a stop too, if you’ve got more of an appetite for ancient sites.
