Spend your calmest night in our campsite (only if you like cats and dogs). It is a lovely land in San Mateo at Camino Art House. The camp site is 700m from the building with access to all essentials you need (coffee, for example:)). No electricity in the land, but you can use facilities in the main house, we can provide warm blankets. It is a cozy place to relax and hide away from your daily routine. Simple and off-grid life. You might get inspired at Camino Art House. Outdoor shower and dry toilets are 150 meters from the site.
We are an art house, we are considered quite alternative as we do a lot of upcycling and recycling (for example, all of our mugs/plates/chairs are from second-hand shops, we have many dry toilets and outdoor showers, etc). The main building is rather small, but we have a big land.
You can access all the part of our art house, feel free to use our kitchen as well, although we cook vegan family dinner every evening (you can participate for about 5-6€ donation, we serve at 8pm) and we offer breakfast as well. Let us know if you want to have dinner with us!
We are a hostel-type accommodation place, we also often organize workshops (mostly in winter), so you will meet many other travellers. We are working with volunteers who will help you with everything that you need. Please look for activities that we offer! You might want to join some of them.
We are a very pet friendly place. We have two dogs on the property and six cats. Some of the cats prefer to be indoors, so if you have allergies, please consider not booking with us, or take your medication with you.
Good neighbourly relationships are also important for us, so please keep quiet after 11pm until 9am in the morning.
