FHU grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked: At least the facilities were clean.
Disliked: Pretty well everything. Dismal site pressed up against a factory. The swimming pool was derelict. The Bar area was uninspired with little choice. Quite a long walk along a very busy road to catch the airport shuttle bus into Santiago. No information board.

Liked: The site is a bit dated, however, it was kept clean and the hosts were very friendly considering that it can be busy with walkers stopping in and buying refreshments. As the pitches are among trees, you will need levellers and a two adapter for your electric cable. The laundry facilities are hand wash only. The frequent bus service for Santiago is 3/4 of a mile from the site. In fact, part of the route is the Camino used by pilgrims.

Liked: Facilities were clean and campsite is one of the closest to Santiago, pitches are bigger than described. Bus is frequent and only costs €1 (cash only)
Disliked: The No 6 bus does not stop at the bus stop near the campsite despite it being on the bus map. It’s about a 1.2km walk to the bus stop in San Marcos.

Liked: A spacious site with few guests when we visited. A rural setting right on the Camino route and a handy 10min drive into the centre of Santiago. Facilities were good, clean and well maintained in the main.
Disliked: The disabled bathrooms could benefit from more grab rails, door locks that work and the same attention from the cleaner as the rest of the wash block.

Liked: Proximity to Santiago. Although not advertised enough, you can catch the 6a bus from Club San Lazaro 2 (5mins walk) and then bus 6 coming back which drops you outside if you stay on it. Liked how sheltered it is in the trees and putting up a hammock to chill is fab. Facilities are clean and good
Disliked: Pitchup states there is a swimming pool. This is there but it’s closed so don’t book the site based on this (which is what we did). Plus everything looks a bit tired and closed (think there was once a restaurant on site but the cafe is great and sells basic food)
