Sun, sea and… slides? If these three cornerstones of a cracking hol, along with swimming pools, a spa and sports facilities sound smashing, book a spot at the dog-friendly Camping Alannia Els Prats on the Spanish Costa Dorada. This site has a lot more going for it besides its location (it's also within driving distance of the Ebro Valley and a 15-minute drive from PortAventura World). It has a well-stocked supermarket and Mediterranean restaurant for eats – plus mountain bike rental for rides along the trails around the Mont-Roig del Camp area starting just outside the site. If yet more exercise is needed, football fields, basketball pitches, ping-pong tables, pétanque and a gym are spread out across the grounds too. Considering packing the kids off to be amused by someone other than yourself? Miniature golf, a games room with arcade games and kids’ clubs are available here too. Then there’s the golden sandy beach Miami Platja minutes away on foot at the bottom of the site for gliding around on paddleboarding and kayaking rentals… Exhausted yet? Retire to one of the landscaped areas beside the lifeguarded outdoor pools to surround yourself with native plants and palm trees while sunbathing on a Balinese bed with a cocktail in hand from the bar. Once you’re feeling semi revived, entertainment to get you fully going again includes aqua aerobics sessions, dance classes and live music concerts. All pitches on site are fully equipped with water drainage, a TV connection, water connection, 220v electrical connection and wifi.

Liked Dit was niet waarvoor we betaald hebben wij konden niet onder de doorgang door het was te laag wij waren nood gedwongen om op de parkeerplaats te gaan staan maar moesten wel het volledige bedrag betalen had wel compensatie verwacht ontzettend jammer mooie camping waar we niet konden staan

Disliked Platz sehr heruntergekommen, Sanitär schmuddelig und Kalt.
Im Spiele Bereich für Kinder blanke Stromkabel. Alles in allem ist der Platz sehr in die Jahre gekommen ein Upgrade würde ihm gut tun.
Personal am Empfang eher unmotiviert, wir werden nicht mehr buchen.

Disliked L emplacement qui m a été attribué N°44 juste à coté du point de vidange des sanitaires .Un aménagement devrait être réaliser afin d isoler cette emplacement par rapport à l aire N°44 ou j ai passé 4 jours

Liked Sauber, Freundlich, alles da was man wirklich braucht. Ein Campingplatz ist nun mal kein 6 Sterne Wellness Hotel, das weiß man im Voraus. Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen, Shoping Markt hat alles was man benötigt, da fehlt nix!
Toiletten sind stets Sauber gewesen, Perfeckt.

Disliked (Ironie ON :-) die Tauben haben meinen Frisch geputzten Wohnwagen Verschissen. Ironie OFF)
Gibt nix zu meckern!

Local attractions

Millions of tourists flock to Catalonia’s Costa Dorada coastline each year for a reason: the stunning sandy beaches and laidback seaside culture. And if you want to add urban adventures to the itinerary there are handsome towns too, like the historic Mont-Roig del Camp, a 10-minute drive from the park, and Cambrils (15 minutes) with its stellar seafood restaurants, quieter beaches and renowned marina. Also close to Camping Alannia Els Prats are the UNESCO-listed old ruins of Tarragona (25 minutes) and the tiptop architecture in Reus’ old city (also 25 minutes) including the Bofarull Palace, Plaza Mercadal del Ayuntamiento and city hall. If the kids let themselves be dragged around these old-world sights without a moan, reward them with a trip to Universal Studios’ only theme park in Europe, PortAventura, for adrenaline-pumping coasters. If they’ve been very much on their best behaviour, another centre of amusement worth whacking on the agenda includes Aquopolis (25 minutes), for the massive slides and marine life.
