  • Back to wilderness, completely basic camping in a pine forest
Bosco di Pini is a quiet rural site set on four acres of pine woods in Catalonia. It has no fancy facilities on offer but if you like camping in the woods and lovely views of the Mediterranean sea, then this might be the right place for your next holiday in Spain. Remember that this site does not have toilet or shower facilities, please bear this in mind when booking. The site is 20 minutes from Tarragona and the coast, and about an hour away from Barcelona. Clive, from the UK and Francesca, from Italy, are keen, experienced campers and have travelled over 65,000 kilometres around Europe. They now have two kids and two dogs and live in the house nearby, always on hand to help you with absolutely anything and everything... The site has no fixed WiFi connection however, both Francesca and Clive are happy to give you access to the hotspot log-in details. So even though you won't be able to stream data 24/7 you will definitely be able to log onto your e-mail accounts and stay in touch via the web. Wednesday night is barbecue night - you are welcome to join the family. Clive is a keen guitarist, so if you have an instrument you're more than welcome to join them for a bit of jamming. The owners will be here to meet you and look after you during your stay. If arriving by air they can pick you up from Reus airport, if by train they can pick you up from any of the local train stations at Reus, Tarragona or La Selva del Camp. You are welcome to roam around anywhere within our four acres of pinewoods.

Local attractions

The area is teeming with things to do and places to go. The site is 20 minutes from the Roman city of Tarragona. The Mediterranean coast, visible from the campsite, is dotted with lots of lovely towns like Salou, Port Torredembarra and Cambrils. There are miles and miles of golden beaches to explore offering lots of watersports including windsurfing and scuba diving. Monblanc, 20 kilometres away is a very beautiful medieval city. The owners also own a 10-metre classic wooden yacht called Cassiopea which is berthed at Port Torredembarra marina. We often take guests out sailing up and down the Costa Dorada at a small cost. Talk to Clive about learning to sail. You are welcome to roam around the four acres of pinewoods, please don't cross into neighbouring land.
