This family-friendly Catalonia site is set in a pine forest next to Gavà beach, a sandy stretch with over 10km of coastal promenade – but only 12km from the colourful sights and more sands of Barcelona (there's excellent bus access into the city too). For days when you're not city sightseeing, Camping 3 Estrellas has laid on all you might need to stay put: swimming pools, a playground, fitness equipment and various sports courts (including padel tennis, a multisports court and a beach volleyball area), plus organised activities for kids and grownups alike. There’s also a restaurant for tasty local meals, a pizzeria for family favourites and a beach bar for your sundowner drinks. Amenities are also well sorted, with modern loo and shower blocks (with free hot water), a supermarket for snacks and other essentials, and a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers.

Liked De winkel, het restaurant, het sanitair, de mogelijkheid om met de bus naar Barcelona te gaan. Personeel is erg aardig.

Disliked Er is weinig te doen, fietsen huren is omslachtig, fietspaden houden ineens op. Wandelen wordt onmogelijk gemaakt doordat het hele strand afgezet is omdat er gebouwd wordt, de straat wordt vernieuwd maar dat maakt wandelen niet veilig.

Liked Lovely pitch at side of the lake. Friendly receptionist. Location. Excellent. Can go to spa supermarket across the road and even though out of season restaurants and couple bars open.

Disliked Pitch was quite tight. Luckilh people behind us had gone so we could get out.

Liked The first pitch we stayed on was the one we had booked which was beach side.It was very clean and quite large however we arrived during the very bad winds and after a very windy night which resulted in a lot of campers out of their vehicles at around 4am we requested another pitch away from the sea front which was obviously less windy again large and clean.The team were very friendly and helpful

Disliked Bad winds but this was nobody's fault

Disliked Wi-Fi and phone signal was very poor, under the flight path of Barcelona airport. Planes flying over every few minutes

Liked The friendly staff, hot showers and clean facilities. The ability to walk the dog on the beach off the lead as we are out of season and plenty of bins.

Disliked When we arrived we had paid for a beach view which would have been perfect except a large work van had been parked partly across our pitch which limited how we could park.The staff had no success removing it until later in the evening and the following morning when we woke there was another work van in the same place.This meant we had no room to put out our table and chairs.
Suggest the staff find a dedicated parking area for their workers that doesn,t affect those paying for a pitch.

Liked Toilets and showers very clean. Friendly and helpful reception. Great beach location and easy taxi into Barcelona. Would have used the bus but they don’t allow dogs.

Route directions

From Barcelona, follow Ronda de Dalt (B20) in the direction of the airport. Take the C-31 in the direction of Castelldefels, exit at Gavà Mar (on the left along the beach with a viaduct over the C-31). Then take the third right-hand turning and follow the directions back to Barcelona to reach the site.

Famed centre the Catalan Olympic Canal of Catalonia is just five minutes away, a highly popular spot for Spanish watersports like sailing, kitesurfing, canoeing and kayaking, and for land-based activities like cycling, archery and pitch and putt; many courses are available for all ages. Fancy neither land nor sea? Have a go at paragliding from here instead.
