Now here’s a cool place to stay on the Costa del Sol… Costa del Sol Glamping Village is in a tree-filled park on the edge of Fuengirola and a couple of minutes’ walk from the nearest beach (with sea views from several corners of the site) – it’s a fabulous spot for those who want to dip in and out of the buzz of the main resort while also enjoying some peace and quiet in between. The accommodation at this Andalusia site is equally cool, with the units designed to give you a sense of staying in the open air while also providing plenty of hotel-style comforts including proper beds, good-quality bed linen, towels, power sockets, a mini kitchen and an ensuite bathroom. There’s space to relax both inside and outside, with plenty of furniture provided for both. And you may well need some time to relax, given everything there is to do around here – both on site and in the surrounding area. For those times when you’re not at the beach you can head to the pool area for swimming, water games and sunbathing, hit the indoor or outdoor gyms, or play games of volleyball, basketball and mini football. There’s a playground and kids’ club to keep your little ones busy, and everyone can join in with the activities that run daily in high season. Time for a proper chillout? Perhaps you’d like to book some time in the spa, take in a show at the amphitheatre, pick up a cool drink from the pool bar or settle in a comfy chair by the firepit in the chillout area. The site also has a very good restaurant for those times when you don’t fancy cooking.

Disliked: Parking elektrische voertuigen was dikwijls bezet met wagens die daar niet moeten staan waardoor we soms niet konden laden

Liked: Bungalow amplios y muy completos, pero no se hacen responsables de nada. En la reserva especifica que hay plaza de parkin y el segundo día nos hicieron sacar el coche porque siguen de obras y segun ellos, las plazas de parkin no las cobran, que buscáramos aparcamiento fuera del recinto. Otro día vinieron 4 familiares (10€ por persona) para bañarse en la piscina. La piscina la cerraron 6-7 horas porque un peque se hizo "caca" dentro (cosa que puede pasar) mi familia se fue sin poder disfrutar de ella. Solicitamos la devolución, puesto que no se habían podido bañar y su respuesta fue que era una causa ajena a ellos y que no se hacían responsables de la devolución del dinero.

Liked: Geweldige schone kamers en super vriendelijke personeel die je met alles te hulp staan. De omgeving het zwembad en alles was gewoon in 1 woord top!!! Het is dichtbij een bus halte waardoor je makkelijk naar Marbella centrum kan gaan. Ook heb je dichtbij op 5 min loopafstand een strand en een grote gesloten winkelcentrum waar je zowel je boodschappen kan doen en shoppen.

Disliked: Het is vrij nieuw ik denk vandaar dat de wifi niet goed pakte in de kamers. Wel in het restaurant of zwembad, maar helaas in het huisje pakte het niet goed. Wel deed de internet het goed op de tv dus je kon gewoon youtube openen op je tv in de kamer.

Local attractions

To the beach first? It’s only a couple of minutes’ walk to the nearest one – a spacious stretch of sand with bars and boat rentals available. More watersports, including jetskiing and parasailing, can be booked in central Fuengirola (five minutes’ drive), which also has a great beach with calm sheltered waters and plenty of sandy space. While you’re in Fuengirola, you can also take a walk along the Paseo Maritimo (perhaps stopping at a bar or fairground en route), visit the animals at Bioparc Fuengirola, hit the waterslides at Aquamijas or take the kids to the rides at Sould Park. If you fancy a change of scenery from Fuengirola, you might like to head to the seaside resort of Torremolinos (20 minutes) or to the lovely city of Málaga (half an hour), which is packed with cultural attractions including the Picasso Museum and the Alcazaba.
