Liked Goede wifi, mooi toilet gebouw, vriendelijk personeel, hele jaar open.

Disliked Onduidelijk over betaling. Maar prima opgelost.

FHU grass campsite (Private restroom amenities)

Liked Having our own private sanitary facilities. This was a game changer. These were clean and modern and could be locked. The area is outstanding with lots of trails straight from the site. The pitches are huge with plenty of space between. The site is very child friendly with lots of play areas. We hired bikes from the campsite for the day which was amazing value.

Disliked Upon arrival and checking into reception it was difficult to access a suitable parking space with our caravan. A designated bay with enough space would have made this less stressful. We received park rules in English but we also received a welcome pack however everything inside was in Dutch which would have taken us hours to translate. A few more leaflets about the area in English would be fab if you are trying to attract more guests from outside the Netherlands.

Local attractions

You can engage in a friendly exchange with macaws and hear the distinctive verse of a kookaburra at Bird Park De Lorkeershoeve (25 minutes’ drive), where you can walk right into the aviaries and get up close and personal to all sorts of exotic winged creatures. There is also a miniature golf. The Hanseatic city of Zwolle (half an hour) draws visitors with its cobbled streets and medieval Grote Markt square, lined with terrace cafés. You can admire the art collection at the Museum de Fundatie, take a boat tour of the city’s star-shaped canal or have a go at wakeboarding at Lakeside Cablepark Zwolle. A vast area of wet heathland dotted with orchids and juniper shrubs, Dwingelderveld National Park (40 minutes) can be explored on foot, by bike or on horseback. This is also the place to spot native wildlife, from woodpeckers and sparrowhawks to deer.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

If the reception is closed on arrival, please check in at the Brasserie "de boerderij".
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.

Extras

Motorcycle(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
Entertainment and activities are available between 07/07 and 08/25.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.

A cable measuring at least 10 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
