- Touring pitches just off the E65 road, 10 minutes’ drive from Budva
- Trsteno Beach 10 minutes’ drive; Kotor 25 minutes
- Shuttle to Jaz Beach; scooter, car and bicycle hire on site
If you have decided to explore the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, chances are you’ll eventually find yourself driving along the Adriatic Magistral road (also known as the E65). If that’s the case, make a mental note (or better yet, book your spot in advance) to stop at Camper Stop XL Budva, which sits just off that road, between Budva (10 minutes’ drive) and Kotor (25 minutes).
This touring site is in the village of Lastva Grbaljska, which has a supermarket (just across the E65, a five-minute walk away) and a couple of restaurants. But the real advantage of staying here is the proximity to the spectacular beaches of Montenegro, such as Jaz Beach (five minutes), a sheltered sandy crescent backed by vegetation-covered hills, and tiny Trsteno Beach (10 minutes), in a deep inlet with remarkably crystal-clear waters.
You don’t have to worry about finding a parking space for your motorhome at the seaside, since a convenient shuttle runs to Jaz Beach (there is an additional fee for this service). And if you want to explore the local coastline on your own terms, you can rent a car, a scooter or a bicycle.
The site has service points for black-waste disposal and fresh water, as well as a washing machine and a modern toilet/shower block where you can freshen up before heading into Budva for dinner with a sea view.

Local attractions
Budva has a well-equipped pebble beach with watersports rentals and an inflatable adventure course. At the western end of the beach is the fortified Budva Citadel, the oldest parts of which date back from the fifth century BC. This area includes the Church of Saint John the Baptist, with its distinctive bell tower.
Sitting at the southern end of a deep fjord-like bay, Kotor (25 minutes' drive) has a long history and many attractive buildings – from Romanesque churches such as Saint Tryphon’s Cathedral to Renaissance palaces. The wooded hills around the city are laced with hiking trails with far-reaching coastal views.
A former military base for the Austrian Empire, Tivat (half an hour), on the Bay of Kotor, has reinvented itself as a glamorous pitstop for the jet set and their yachts. The Monastery of St. Michael the Archangel sits on lush Prevlaka Island, and there are more pretty country churches in the hills around the town.
