It's free, quick and easy!
- Family-sized safari tents at a beachfront site in Cavallino-Treporti
- Reach the centre of Venice in half an hour by car and boat
- Outdoor pool complex, restaurant and high-season activities on site
So you’re off to the beach… and you simply can’t wait a minute longer to hit the sand? Then a stay at Villatent at Campsite Village Cavallino should suit you rather well – not only is this Veneto region site right by the beach in Cavallino-Treporti, it’s also home to safari tents that are all set up and ready to move into.
That, of course, means that upon arrival you can simply throw your bags down and race off to the long sandy beach. And what a beach it is – equipped with sun beds and umbrellas (for an extra fee) plus a beach volleyball court and sandy play area for the kids.
It’s quite possible you’ll spend much of your time at the beach, but then again there’s plenty to keep you busy elsewhere on site when you fancy a change of scenery. Perhaps a game of miniature golf or tennis? A workout in the fitness room (extra costs apply)? Some time at the large outdoor pool complex, which has waterslides, a hot tub and paddling pool (plus lifeguards to keep things safe)?
On top of that, there are play areas scattered around the site for the kids, plus a large indoor play park – and activities each morning in high season (the ideal time to book a massage in the wellness area on site maybe?)
Tents here are equipped with kitchen areas, but you’re under no obligation to use them as there’s also a restaurant (serving pizzas and Italian meat or fish dishes), ice cream parlour and lounge bar on site. A supermarket is on hand for your groceries if you do fancy cooking.

Local attractions
That beach just by the park stretches out for many kilometres… all the way up to Lido di Jesolo, 20 minutes away by car. After you’ve seen a slightly different beach view, make tracks for one of the resort’s other attractions, like Caribe Bay waterpark, Tropicarium animal park or Golf Club Jesolo.
And although it may be hard to believe while you’re stretched out on a gorgeous long beach, one of the world’s great cities isn’t far away… Drive to Punta Sabbioni (10 minutes away), board a 20-minute boat trip and you can be in the centre of Venice, riding a gondola, strolling around St Mark’s Square and visiting the Doge’s Palace.
Venice is strewn across a collection of islands, of course, so make time for trips to the glassblowers of Murano, the colourful streets of Burano and the nature reserve on Torcello while you’re here too.
