Local attractions
Part of the attraction of this place is the ability to do very little if you wish, although you should certainly bring along walking boots and/or mountain bikes if you'd like to see some more of the scenery as there are some lovely trails to follow nearby (ask Ava or Aurelio to point you in the direction of something suitable).
If you're heading to Città di Castello (40 minutes’ drive) for supplies, make a trip of it by visiting the cathedral, admiring the art at the Pinacoteca Comunale and sipping a coffee at one of the cafés on Piazza Gabriotti.
There are also some lovely places to eat in Umbertide (35 minutes), or you can seek out historic sights like Rocca d’Aria (40 minutes) and Montelovesco Castle (50 minutes).
