- Quiet site in the countryside, five minutes’ drive from Orosei
- Within 10 minutes’ drive of multiple sandy beaches
- Surrounded by olive trees and Mediterranean scrub but easy to reach
Sweet Sardinia… It’s known for its white-sand beaches with clear, turquoise shallows, so it only makes sense that many people who go to this scenic part of Italy would like to stay a short drive from its beaches. Green Life very much promises this: it's in the countryside just a 10-minute drive from multiple beaches that fit the stereotype, including Marina di Orosei and Santa Maria.
It's also the sort of place that’s quiet and nature-oriented. Dappled with shade, the pitches are surrounded by olive trees and typical Mediterranean scrub, with views of both the sea and mountains. Still, despite having such scenic views and pretty much no traffic or noise, the hillside property is easy to reach and only a five-minute drive from the characterful town of Orosei.
That phrase “there’s something for everyone” gets thrown around quite a bit, but it does tend to ring true here. There are all of those gorgeous coves and beaches within a short drive, plus ample opportunities for walking, cycling and birdwatching in the surrounding area. On top of that, nearby Orosei has 17th-century buildings, shops, restaurants and bars to satisfy your shopping and eating-out needs.
On site, the setup leans towards simple, with composting toilet facilities, a camping-style shower and a sink for washing up dishes. The pitches have electric hook-ups.

Local attractions
One big question to answer is: which beach should you go to first? Marina di Orosei beach (10 minutes’ drive) is a strong contender, as one of the closest spots. It's a long, sandy strip with plenty of space to spread out and settle in for a few serene hours. Santa Maria (also 10 minutes) is a quiet patch that feels quite wild – long beach walks, your toes in the sand, are surely a good idea there.
Oasi Biderosa (15 minutes) only lets in limited visitors, but if you are lucky enough to be one of those, it has five remote white-sand beaches backed by the juniper, cork and holm oak trees of the nature reserve.
If you ever fancy a break from beach-hopping, you could drive or hike up the road to Monte Tuttavista (20 minutes) above Orosei. Its limestone summit is about 806 metres high, so it’s quite an uphill climb if you choose to go on foot; stunning coastal views reward your efforts.
You could also go south to Cala Gonone (45 minutes), where boat trips depart from its lively port to see sea caves and properly remote beaches like Cala Luna that otherwise require a long hike.
