Power optional grass and gravel campsite

Liked Lugar bonito y mayormente tranquilo.

Power optional grass and gravel campsite

Liked The place has a great peaceful feel of isolation and tranquility.
everthing is tucked away nestled in nature, more as a part of nature.
The sound of the goats with their bells gave it a 'Heidi in the hills' quality, I'll remember it fondly.
Friendly reception and well established, bar and restaurant.
It was a night stop over so were not requiring anything specific.
Set in nice surroundings.
Great name for the place.

Disliked The road down to the pitch from the main road - scarry. New to our old motorhome it came as a bit of a shock to drop down and then ascend on the way out the following day. I couldn't face it again in our motorhome
but would not an issue if we came by car. The toilet, showers and washing area could do with a facelift.

Power optional grass and gravel campsite

Local attractions

Whatever the season, it’s all about the outdoors here. For a start, access to around 100 kilometres of walking paths is close to the site; local wildflower meadows are a top pick for strolls in spring and summer, and autumn is the time to turn out with the locals to forage for mushrooms and chestnuts in the woodland. Mountain bikers can get their adrenaline kick at the Monte Alpet Bike Park, 15 minutes away; in summer, ski pistes are transformed into bike paths to hurtle down at speed. For a more leisurely view of the area, pack up your rods for a day of fishing on the Casotto and Corsaglia rivers around 20 minutes away. Snow sport fans have plenty of options within a few minutes’ drive in winter: the Roburent and San Giacomo ski areas have more than 35 kilometres of downhill pistes between them, with lessons and equipment hire all available in the village. More pistes and a snowpark are a 45-minute drive away in Prato Nevoso. More peacefully, visit 12th-century Valcasotto Castle (15 minutes), wander through the underground caverns and passages at Bossea caves (25 minutes), or take a trip to the medieval Sanctuary of Vicoforte, half an hour away.
