It's free, quick and easy!
- Peaceful and friendly site on Calabria's Tyrrhenian Sea coast
- Within half an hour’s drive of Vibo Valentia, Pizzo and Tropea
- Direct access to a private and kid-friendly white sandy beach
This Tyrrhenian Sea site is a corker just for its private white sandy beach alone: it’s a good spot for young families for the safety of its calm shallow waters, and gives guests scuba diving, fishing, sunbathing and swimming opps too.
For leisure days off site, boat rides, watersports and sightseeing are also a cinch from Campeggio Baia di Trainiti, as it lies on the part of Calabria’s west coast that’s dubbed the ‘Coast of the Gods’ for the splendiferousness of its sands: the seaside resort of Tropea and ancient Pizzo are both around half an hour’s drive from the site, and the Natural Regional Park of Serre is around an hour’s drive away for hiking, cycling and several other outdoorsy pursuits.
The private sandy beach is kitted out with sunloungers and umbrellas for shaded lounges while the kids splash and paddle, and you can fish from the rocks there too; and if ever the tiddlies can tear themselves away from the sea, they can clamber, spin and swing over at the playground, or otherwise the kids’ club’s activities will keep them plenty occupied too.
The park has a bar and a roomy terrace for sunset tipples while watching the park’s evening entertainment, and the on-site takeaway has your eats sorted.

Local attractions
The stretch of coastline that Campeggio Baia di Trainiti lies on is dubbed the 'Coast of the Gods' due to its spectacular white beaches and cliffs, so there are plenty of excellent beaches with water-based opps such as sea fishing trips, sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving within easy reach of the site.
For more beaches, boat trips, narrow laneway wanders and happening across hidden restaurant-filled squares, the vibrant seaside resort of Tropea lies around half an hour’s drive from Campeggio Baia di Trainiti.
Elsewhere, history-based sightseeing can be had over in ancient Pizzo (also half an hour’s drive away), hailed as one of Calabria’s handsomest towns and a splendid spot to have an amble around: 50 metres above sea level on a steep cliff overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, the old town is filled with pastel-painted houses, winding alleyways and steep stone steps, and backs onto La Marina beach. For food while you’re over this way, tuna and tartufo ice cream are this town’s culinary speciality, so dining on freshly caught fish and sampling the sweet stuff in one (/some/all) of the town’s 15 family-run gelaterie are both a must.
