Cannes you see yourself having a reely topping time celeb-spotting and beach basking on the French Riviera? You'll likely like Parc Bellevue if so, as it's set a couple of kilometres from the beach and eight from the famed and glitzy Promenade de la Croisette in Cannes, the two-kilometre strip alongside the beach on which celebs famously tread: you could bring along a camera and pretend to be paparazzi…? In between gently stalking the rich and famous, sink into gentle days on site among the Parc Bellevue facilities including a big swimming pool and a Jacuzzi (a paddling pool is to hand for tiddlers too). A playground, pétanque court, ping pong tables and a volleyball court will sort out the more energetic. Sit-in eats and takeaways are covered at the site restaurant; if you'd rather cater for yourself, the Bellevue grocery shop sells bread, pastries and other essentials. Parc Bellevue also has a modern amenities block, a launderette, a TV room and free wifi.

Liked: Der Stellplatz war sehr großzügig bemessen. Wir hatten viel Platz. Unter den Bäumen war es auch sehr schön schattig, es gab aber auch genug sonnige Bereiche. Der Service des Personals war angenehm freundlich. Wir waren mit der gesamten Anlage und den verfügbaren Optionen (Pool, Restaurant, Animation, Busanbindung) sehr zufrieden.

Disliked: Leider liegt der Bereich des Campingplatzes für die Wohnmobile unmittelbar in Sicht- und (leider auch vor allem nachts) in Hörweite der Autobahn A8. Das ist sehr nervig, denn Schlafen wird dadurch fast unmöglich. Der Verkehr ist nachts nicht wesentlich geringer.

Disliked: Rumore notturno dovuto alla vicinanza con l'autostrada. Scarsa pulizia dei bagni e assenza carta igienica. Docce e servizi un pò vecchi e trascurati.

Liked: La piazzola molto spaziosa e completa di tutti i servizi quali corrente, frigorifero (a pagamento) e alberi vari per appendere filo per i panni ed eventuali tende e tendaggi. I bagni discreti, quasi sempre puliti e per fortuna non puzzavano in modo esageratissimo, ci si poteva andare tranquillamente. La piscina molto classica, con la chicca dell’idromassaggio e degli scivoli per i bambini.

Disliked: Personale impreparato ed anche un po’ inutile, non è possibile che non parlino nessuna lingua se non il francese. Le piazzole si sono spaziose, ma non fate affidamento al numero che vi assegnano in fase di prenotazione perché quando arrivate là, quella che è libera vi danno, a caso. Fate presente se avete aggiunto degli extra perché a noi avevano dimenticato (nonostante l’avessimo pagato in fase di prenotazione) di fornirci il frigorifero. Il camping in sé è bello e ne vale la pena, ma sicuramente lo consiglierei alle famiglie o alle coppie solo per fare qualche giorno, non una settimana come noi!

Liked: Nous avons été ravis de l’accès à la piscine, du service de restauration rapide le soir qui est très copieux, le camping et bien situé, proximité des manèges, de la plage dont nous avons pu nous y rendre facilement à vélo.

Disliked: Certaines douches ne fonctionnent pas et les WC sont nettoyés qu’une fois le matin, ce qui fait que peut de WC sont propres , aussi il manquait du savon pour les mains; nous n’avons vu personne ce déplacer jusqu’au WC avec sont propre savon pour les mains. Tout le personnel était très accueillant sauf la dame qui tient le restaurant/épicerie du camping. Elle manquait de sourire et parlait froidement. Nous comprenons que travailler dans le tourisme peut-être difficile, mais c’est dommage. Nous ne restons pas sur cela espérant que notre avis soit le plus constructif possible !

Liked: Pool and slide were good. Friendly staff. Food good and reasonably priced. Clean. Patrolled regularly. Close to shops and beach, level pitches

Disliked: No toilet seats, food not available all day, toilet roll not available, very hilly and steep. Limited items in shop.

Liked: Ci è piaciuto in generale tutto, in particolare: la gentilezza e la disponibilità alla reception (una signora parlava anche in italiano); la professionalità degli addetti alla sicurezza del campeggio e in piscina; la pulizia della piscina; gli animatori molto discreti e fantasiosi con belle e coinvolgenti iniziative serali. Gli scivoli acquatici e la piscina molto belli e fantastici per i bambini/ragazzi. I servizi igienici abbastanza puliti, con docce sempre calde e numerose. Bella l'area per lavare le stoviglie. Minimarket con pane fresco ogni mattina. Bar/ristorante. Lavanderia con lavatrice. Comodo per fermata bus per centro Cannes/stazione ferroviaria Cannes. Passeggiata più navetta gratuita per andare al mare. Bellissime le spiagge di sabbia. In posizione tranquilla

Disliked: Il fatto che sia più ampia, illuminata e curata l'area dedicata ai bungalows rispetto all'area per camper/roulotte/tende

Liked: Guter Preis Schönes Schwimmbad Sehr zufrieden

Disliked: Etwas schwül wegen vielen Bäumen, ist aber nicht schlimm, man gewöhnt sich. Stechmücken ab 17:00 aber einfach mückenspräh benutzten oder drin bleiben, so ist das Leben. Autobahn hört man aber einfach Ohrstöpsel mitnehmen, weiß man als Camper eigentlich.

Local attractions

Cannes first of course: the world-famed Boulevard de la Croisette of Cannes is about eight kilometres from Parc Bellevue, so make strolling here a first step before a wander along its long stretch of beach. (Plenty of swish shops line the Croisette too if you have a large pile of money to spare.) If you're on hol with the kids who don't much fancy doing that, take them along to French Riviera theme park and world's first oceanarium Marineland (30 minutes' drive), home to marine critters, various zones and interactive activities. The nearby Lérins Islands, the Mediterranean islands off the coast of Cannes, are another splendid spot to visit in the area and are home to more fab beaches, a fortified monastery and the cell of the Man in the Iron Mask at the biggest island, Île Sainte-Marguerite. Two of the the islands are uninhabited; to reach the other two, regular boat trips to Sainte-Marguerite and Île St Honorat run from the harbour at Cannes (both are much recommended). For a scenic city (and shopping?) day trip, Nice is 45 minutes' drive away.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
