FHU grass campsite

Liked Camping avec large choix d'activités de quoi s'occuper durant tout le séjour et seulement 10 Minutes a pied de la plage.

Disliked Le voisinage très bruyant tard le soir

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Bonjour,

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Bonjour,

Annabelle

FHU grass campsite

Liked Great pool with slides. Has three pools in total. Good sports facilities- table tennis, football area and basket ball court.
Great bar and restaurant with a kids menu too and included familiar and local food options. Entertainment every night. Not too far from the beach (although not walking distance if carrying lots to the beach). Close to other towns for markets, supermarkets, and other touristy places. Facilities clean. Good sized pitches. Fresh bread and croissants in shop everyday.

Disliked Chlorine in inside pool very strong. Recommend wearing goggles.
Although good recycling facilities would have appreciated a few more places.
The times they clean the toilets would be better mid morning rather than first thing!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hello Lisa,

Thank you very much for your detailed review and constructive feedback following your stay in August. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed our pools, slides, sports facilities, as well as our bar and restaurant with a variety of options, including a kids’ menu.

Regarding the indoor pool, chlorine levels and water treatment parameters are checked at least twice daily to ensure strict compliance with safety and quality standards. The chlorine management is directly adjusted based on usage and conditions.

As for recycling, we have several collection points throughout the campsite, but their locations may not always be clearly visible or well communicated. We will work on improving the signage to make them easier to find and use.

Lastly, our teams regularly clean the restrooms throughout the day to maintain cleanliness.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon,

Annabelle

From the manager: Hello Tim,

Thank you very much for your kind feedback! We’re delighted to hear you had a great five-day stay with us, and that your children especially enjoyed the beach, swimming pools, and sports activities. It’s wonderful to know that the location, weather, cleanliness, and friendly staff contributed to making your stay enjoyable.

Regarding toilet paper, we have adopted an ecological approach and therefore do not provide toilet paper in the restrooms to help reduce our environmental impact. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

As for Wi-Fi, it is offered by an external provider and is payable. This allows us to preserve the natural and peaceful environment of the campsite while still providing a connection for those who need it.

We look forward to welcoming you back for another stay!

FHU grass campsite

Liked Facilities were cleaned regularly
Fresh bread daily.
Shop prices were decent.

Disliked Uneven sloping pitch. No grass just sand and gravel. Under trees with no sun.
Beach was a lot further than 800 metres more like over a mile.
Entrance to site very congested whilst checking in. To the point that we were swore at by impatient people who were unable to pass by.
Teenagers running around shouting and screaming after midnight.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Dear customer,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay with us. We are pleased to hear that you appreciated the cleanliness of our facilities, the availability of fresh bread each day, and the fair pricing at our on-site shop.

We are sorry to learn that your pitch did not meet your expectations. It’s important to note that our campsite offers a variety of pitch types — some in full sun, others shaded, and some semi-shaded — to accommodate the different preferences of our guests. It’s unfortunate that we weren’t made aware of your preference either at the time of booking or upon your arrival at reception. Had we known, we would have done our best to find a pitch more suited to your needs, depending on availability.

We also take note of your concerns regarding access to the site and the noise during the night. While we understand that check-in times can be busy, we are actively working to improve traffic flow and the overall arrival experience. Regarding nighttime disturbances, we will reinforce our efforts to ensure a quiet and restful environment for all our guests.

We truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide you with a more enjoyable stay.

Kind regards,

Annabelle

Liked The pool was great, lifeguards very observant. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent thank you so much to the bar staff for their hospitality. Great mix of nationalities there which was good. There was great accessible toilets with showers, kitchen sinks and all free for use. Location was great, very good cycle paths

Disliked The kids club looked drab and the staff didn’t speak English there so my little boy was unable to happily attend. The wifi and signal is terrible really poor for both. No toilet roll available in the toilets so bring your own

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Dear Clare,

Thank you very much for your kind and detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed our pool area and appreciated the attentiveness of our lifeguards. It’s also a real pleasure to know that you had a great experience at our restaurant — we’ll be sure to pass your compliments along to the bar and service teams, who will be very happy to hear them.

We’re also glad that you enjoyed the diversity of guests, the accessibility of our facilities, and our excellent location with nearby cycle paths. Your positive comments mean a lot to us!

Regarding the Kids Club, we’re sorry to hear your son wasn’t able to enjoy it fully. We do understand the importance of language in helping children feel comfortable, and we’re actively working on improving multilingual support within the animation team. We hope that on a future visit, your little one will have a much more enjoyable experience.

As for the Wi-Fi, it is normally fully functional throughout the campsite. However, if you experienced issues during your stay, we encourage guests to report them to reception — sometimes the problem is related to local network antennas in the area, which are unfortunately beyond our control.

Finally, regarding toilet paper, it is true that we do not supply it in the sanitary blocks — this is both a common practice in many campsites and an ecological choice to reduce waste. We recommend guests bring their own to ensure comfort during their stay.

We truly appreciate your constructive feedback and hope to welcome you and your family again in the future!

Warm regards,

Annabelle

Liked We really enjoyed our stay here, the pitches were large and spacious, with hedges for privacy. It was a busy site, but still felt calm. There is noise at night from surrounding area, but this didn’t bother us.
Good location, with great bicycle routes.
Swimming pool was great fun. Shop and bar on site. Facilities were good too, no toilet paper, (but this seems to be a French thing, they did have a sink with soap to wash hands).
Needed to pay for WiFi, we didn’t use.
Would stay again.

Disliked Nothing.

From the manager: Hello Samantha,

Thank you very much for your lovely feedback! We’re delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us — from the spacious pitches with privacy hedges to the calm atmosphere despite a busy site. It’s great to hear that you appreciated our location, cycling routes, swimming pool, shop, bar, and facilities.

Regarding the toilet paper, you’re right, it’s often not provided in French campsites as part of an ecological approach, but we’re glad the handwashing facilities met your needs. As for the WiFi, it is provided by an external service and is payable, which helps us maintain a peaceful environment for all our guests.

We look forward to welcoming you back for another visit!

From the manager: Dear Stuart,

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the pool and appreciated the cleanliness of our facilities — it’s a top priority for our team.

We’re truly sorry that your stay was disturbed by loud music late at night. It’s likely that the noise came from other guests, and we understand how frustrating that can be. For future stays, please don’t hesitate to inform reception or contact our night guard, who patrols the site and is there to ensure peace and quiet is respected during the night.

We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in a more peaceful setting.
