Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked Large pitch clean facilities, well located near to town and cycling/ hiking routes. Lake for swimming.

Disliked No toilet paper, seats or soap but this seems common on French campsites!

Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked Size of pitches. For us having a skatepark very close was good. Nice cafes in town.
Wi-Fi was good
Fish washing area was great. Not push-in buttons and hot water. Not loads of toilets or showers so we did wait as a family at one point.
Very fast roundabout. Friendly staff. Lake accessibility.

Disliked Some pitches had lots of ants.
We rely on solar ideally and pitches at site not the best for sun light. Good ones had ants and others not level enough for pop top being flat.
Could not see grey waste point anywhere. There is a park up 12 mins away that has grey waster and over night parking.

Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked Size of pitches are huge, very pretty site. Didn’t use the swimming lake but seemed popular with the families with children. Nice little snack and bar area.

Disliked Toilets are rather dated but clean however, no toilet seats, toilet roll or hand soap so go prepared!

Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked Plenty of space, very natural park, next to 2 small lakes for swimming and fishing. Great, friendly staff kept the site clean and tidy. 10 minutes walk ito the old town of Mamers. Good launderette on site, very reasonable. A large wash dried, too, for 6€.

Disliked All good.

Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked Zeer ruime plekken. Perfect voor een door stroomcamping.
Zelf mag je een plekje uitzoeken.
Lekker rustig op de camping.

Disliked Eten had iets beter/ verser gemogen in het snackbarretje.
S morgens kon je geen broodjes halen. Kan wel in het dorpje, 10 min lopen.

Local attractions

To Bellême (15 minutes’ drive), perhaps, for a town among the woodlands and countryside? Be sure to peer inside the church, which was reconstructed in 17th-century style from its 15th-century original and features an adorable off-centre clock. Lace-making traditions are what bring many to Alençon (half an hour). The town is UNESCO-listed for its arts and culture. There’s a fine arts museum as well as 15th-century architecture to check out while you’re pottering around there. La Ferté-Bernard (35 minutes) is a strong contender for some of the finest views around this region - and that’s saying something, with such strong competition. The Huisne river runs past the medieval buildings and canals also separate some of the streets. Le Mans (55 minutes) may be furthest away out of the bunch, but it’s got lots to occupy your hours, including a museum on the city’s famed motor race, the race track and an old town.
