It's free, quick and easy!
- Three kilometres from the medieval town of Guerande
- Learn how to make goats' cheese at the on-site mini farm
- Heated indoor swimming pool with three waterslides
You’ll be bouncing with joy after your trip to Domain de Bréhadour, a wooded eight-hectare site on the outskirts of the medieval town of Guerande just south of Brittany. A 10-minute drive from the nine-kilometre beach of La Baule, Domaine de Bréhadour is well placed for beach getaways, and you can also learn how to sail dinghies, kitesurf and paddleboard in the bay at La Baule.
For those who don’t want to head out to sea, there’s an heated indoor swimming pool on site, with three waterslides and an outdoor paddling pool. If you’re not the aquatic type, stay active on the outdoor fitness equipment or one of the two tennis courts. A visit to the playground and inflatables will have smaller kids bouncing off the walls – in a good way...
For a less athletic experience, visit the chickens, goats and rabbits of the Domaine de Bréhadour mini-farm. Children can get to know the animals up close and, during the high season, can learn all about the making of goats' cheese from milking to the finished product.

Local attractions
You’d be forgiven for thinking that a trip to this region of France is all about the water, but the area around Domaine de Bréhadour has a lot more to offer than beaches.
The site is on the outer edge of the Parc Naturel Régional de Brière, a large nature reserve outside Guérande. With a host of activities available to visitors, you’ll be able to take in the surroundings on foot or from horseback, bike or canoe – or even from a barge that takes you through the Grande Brière Mottière marsh.
Equally close at hand is the walled town of Guerande. Although it's now grown beyond the medieval walls, there's plenty of history to uncover in the town. If you only do one thing in Guerande, it should be a trip to its ramparts: still intact, the walls encircle the centre of the town and four gates allow people to pass in and out. One of these gates, Porte Saint Michel, houses a museum on the town’s history and ramparts.
There are 2,000 hectares of salt marshes in the area around Guerande, and salt plays a big part in the industry of the town. Pay a visit to Terre de Sel in the town centre for a guided tour of the salt marshes.
