It's free, quick and easy!
- Peaceful country site with pool and pétanque court
- A five-minute drive from Castelsagrat; 20 from Moissac and Lauzerte
- Games room with a pool table, board games, table tennis and darts
What might you think of when considering the spectacular views and peaceful setting of the Le Domaine du Chasselas, ask the site owners? Perhaps… idle mornings and afternoons under the Tarn-et-Garonne sun… spaced out nicely by generously-sized meals and snacks made up of the freshest of local produce from the area’s many markets…? (Don’t forget breakfast either: the local bakery in Castelsagrat is only five minutes’ drive away.)
And what might you think of when pondering on what to do in these Midi-Pyrénées surroundings? There are hillside towns like Lauzerte and Auvillar to explore; paths and routes to hike, run or cycle along; swimming lakes, canoeing and waterskiing to dive into… and local cuisine and wine all around.
Tourist leaflets are on site if you need a bit more info and the noticeboard is updated regularly with recommendations and favourite spots of the knowledgeable Domaine du Chasselas team.
Options on site include a games room with a pool table, board games, table tennis, cards and darts (head here for the tourist info too); a pétanque court, and a 10m by 5m outdoor pool. Books and DVDs are available to borrow.
Barbecues are allowed: find supplies (and dessert) at Castelsagrat and at the markets of Valence d'Agen and Moissac, 15 and 20 minutes away.

Local attractions
It’s a food and wine haven around here: the Domaine du Chasselas owners highly recommend visits to the weekly markets in Moissac and Valence d'Agen, and to the night markets held in most villages in summer for entertainment as well as cuisine. The Cahors wine region and its Château Latuc is 40 minutes’ away for wine tasting.
Walkers and wildlife watchers have plenty to pick from around here too, from spotting the resident Scops owls flitting over the site grounds, to strolling on the countryside paths around the site. For cycling, the 800-kilometre Canal des Deux Mers route linking the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, via the Gironde estuary, is 25 minutes away.
Also spend some time in Lauzerte, a bastide town and hillside settlement home to humans for over 2,000 years, and in Auvillar, on the banks of the Garonne and a stopover on the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route.
