What customers say

Great spot with helpful staff & good value. Easy access to town, shops, and Pyrenean hikes/bike rides. Pitches are decent, facilities (new showers!) clean. Some road noise & basic toilets noted, sometimes without hot water or TP.

FHU gravel and earth campsite

Liked De omgeving. Je kunt er prachtige wandelingen maken.
Ook het meisje achter de receptie was heel vriendelijk.

Disliked De drukke weg waar de camping direct aan ligt. Er waren helaas maar twee toiletten voor alle campinggasten.

Liked Lovely friendly atmosphere on site, soon found ourselves enjoying authentic paella with two dozen other campers of all nationalities. Easy twenty minute walk into the town and a supermarket within five minutes walk. Nice clean facilities. Friendly and helpful staff.

Powered gravel and earth campsite

Liked Lovely friendly site, good value for money. On Easter Sunday a fantastic paella was served up to all with wine and dessert for 12 Euros which very pleasantly whiled away a very wet windy day! Good sized pitches and very helpful at reception. The town was within easy walking distance and Palalda , although a bit if a steep climb, well worth the effort. Nice cycle route and good hiking.

Disliked As with so many French sites, the toilets were basic with no loo paper or hand washing facilities.

FHU gravel and earth campsite

Liked The site was a great location to visit the nearby villages.
The owner was fabulous, she was so helpful spoke perfect English and helped us with the site and a loan of a waste pipe 💕
The pitches are good size and the site has good facilities- showers, laundry, waste for Motorhomes, chemical toilet area etc.
A bus stop literally outside the campsite to travel but we used our Ebikes to get around and had no problems.

Disliked I appeared to be a nice snack for the local insects so I’d recommend a good repellant 👍

Liked Terrific position close to the town and pyrenees, the site is quiet and very well-maintained. The new shower block has spacious showers.

Local attractions

Get set to stretch those legs plenty on a stay here: you can walk to a public swimming pool in about 20 minutes, or to the treetop trails of the Forest Aventure park. A golf course and horse riding centre are about 25 minutes away on foot, and all your efforts at any of the above can be rewarded with a warming soak in the thermal spa (20 minutes’ walk). Go beyond the town’s boundaries and you can amble up to the medieval village of Palalda in around 15 minutes for a wander through flower-filled cobbled streets, a visit to the post museum and a peek inside the pretty churches. Retrieve the car for the 15-minute drive to Céret if you fancy adding a second ancient village to the list.
