  • Pretty and quiet site on the edge near Carnac and La Trinité-sur-Mer
  • 500 metres from a family amusement park
  • Spa, pool tables, games room, play area and 24/7 security staff
This is, quite simply, a splendid site. Pause right there for a second to scan the pics of Camping de Kergo close to Brittany's spectacular Morbihan coast: you may be booked and packed before you can say 'stunning Bretagne beaches, merci beaucoup'. Camping de Kergo is a quiet site a short drive from the coast at La Trinité-sur-Mer, a piffling 500 metres from Le P’tit Délire amusement park. These would be most excellent reasons alone to have a hol here, but add in the peaceful and friendly vibe as well as the woodland setting among green trees and colourful flowers – and you might be booked and packed before you can say 'long vacance needed, s'il vous plait'. And you haven't even got to the spa yet. A wellness area awaits you on site to, part of a nifty package of indoor leisure options that also includes pool tables, table football and a games room with a TV and library. Outdoors under the Brittany sun, there's table tennis to tackle, volleyball to bounce around at, pétanque to try your hand at, and a roomy play area for the kids. Groceries, ice creams and evening meals to take away are available in high season; barbecues are allowed and you can source foodie supplies at the shops and markets of Erdeven, Auray, Plouharnel and Carnac, all within six or seven kilometres. Security staff are available on site 24/7 so you can roam about or settle down for your night's slumber with full peace of mind.

Power optional grass campsite

Liked This is a simple, well-run site. Large grassy pitches, with hedges thoughtfully planted for privacy. Friendly owners speak great English. Daily deliveries from local bakery - just order by 7pm the night before. Clean, well kept facilities. Play park looked lovely though our children are too big for that now.

Disliked Laundry was more expensive than we encountered elsewhere, at 6 euro a load. Large areas of the sanitary block closed off at 10:30pm to reduce noise which is a lovely idea but the toilets and sinks left open overnight are opposite ends of the block which isn’t fun when nature calls in the middle of the night.

Power optional grass campsite

Liked The pitch was fabulous. Pitch was a really large space, good mix of sun and shade (ideal in a heatwave!). The pitch ground was level and well maintained. The facilities at this site were spotless and the best we have ever seen on a campsite - congratulations! A lot of thought has been put into keeping the campsite quiet at night - we really welcomed the reduced noise from 10.30pm. The pastry/bread ordering and delivery was welcome. The campsite is well located for accessing Carnac, the famous stones and many lovely beaches. WE found several dog friendly beaches too - a bonus for our 4 legged companion.

Power optional grass campsite

Liked Very friendly owners who recommended local attractions to visit. Very clean facilities and tidy site. Walking distance to local boulangerie (about 10 minutes).
Ideal location for coast and carnac stones. WiFi available in one area on site.

Disliked Toilet paper outside cubicles

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback on your stay. We are indeed delighted to be able to offer the service of two toilet paper dispensers, which are installed outside the cabins. But did you know that many campsites have removed this service and campers must bring their own toilet paper?
Just a quick note: Wi-Fi is available in two areas.
Sincerely, Audrey

Local attractions

This part of Brittany and Morbihan is famed for its fab coastline and spectacular beaches, many reachable within a short drive. A drive of 15 minutes south will land you at one of the best-known seaside towns in the region, La Trinité-sur-Mer, where options include days on the sheltered Kervillen beach, boat tripping around the Gulf of Morbihan and sampling as much local seafood as poss from the restaurants around the lengthy harbour. A few kilometres from here is Carnac, famed worldwide for its 3,000 prehistoric standing stones. The inland town of Auray and the fishing port of Saint-Goustan are also within easy reach at 15 and 20 minutes' drive, and it's half an hour to the must-see Quiberon peninsula and its high cliffs, craggy rock formations and beaches for surfing, sand yachting and horse riding.
