What customers say

Great riverside/town location with spacious, shaded pitches. Staff are friendly and helpful, and facilities are clean. However, restrooms are dated & lack supplies. Some guests noted inaccurate amenity descriptions.

Amazone 2 bedroom safari tent (five person)

Liked Friendly owner/staff

Disliked It was fairly expensive for the very basic provision.

The toilets and showers were dirty. Make sure to take toilet paper as none is supplied.

The swimming pool next door was closed, in the process of demolition and rebuild (out of control of campsite, but we booked as we wanted a swimming pool). This should be reflected on the booking page.

The river wasn't suitable for swimming in.

It's advertised as family friendly however there is no decent child's area, there is an old and tired outside gym (for over 14's) and a bounce house that goes up around 6.30pm. Other than that, there is little in terms of kids entertainment, so bring your own.

Local attractions

There are plenty of ways to explore this part of the Côte-d'Or. A top choice is to link up with the ‘blue route’, a scenic cycling and walking path which runs along the Saône, from Lyon to Haute-Saône. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, take a bird's-eye view from a hot air balloon (it’s possible to leave directly from the site). Load up the car for days out instead – 20 minutes away in Dole you can take tours of the Collégiale Notre-Dame de Dole church, Sanctuaire Notre-Dame de Mont-Roland and Museum of Fine Arts. If you’d prefer outdoor explores, aim for a wander in the pretty Jardin de Landon or splashing times at Aquaparc Isis. The capital city of Burgundy, Dijon (half an hour), is another fine choice for a visit. It may be known the world over for its mighty fine mustard, but it’s also a big wine-making area, so wine tours and tastings should be on the schedule here. It’s also got impressive buildings aplenty – on your to-see list should be the Cathédrale Saint-Bénigne de Dijon and the Church of Notre-Dame of Dijon, as well as the vast Palace of the Dukes, which houses the Musée des Beaux-Arts.
