Liked: Really good site. Loads to do in the area and the pitches are all shaded

Disliked: Nothing to dislike One useful piece of advice… go into the main town and follow signs as the way we went in is very narrow!!

Liked: Lovely well maintained site with large pitches. Really friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English. The bar and cafe were great for evening drinks and meal and the WiFi was good by the reception area. Beautiful area with loads to do for us and our young son

Disliked: There was a lot of noise from a big party of teenagers who were camping near us. But once they left peace came back to the site!

Liked: Camping on walking distance of the city centre. Swimming pool (municipal) within a mile. A small, very clean, brook nearby to let the dog swim. Bread service. Some nights there are pizza's. Supermarket within walking distance.

Disliked: Facilities mixed for men and women.

Le snack est ouvert de mardi au dimanche . et fermé le lundi. Il y a des pizzas ,assiettes combinées , et des salades composées. Nous avons les sanitaires avec un coté homme et un coté femme. Chacun est libre de de se servir du bloc sanitaire qu'ils désirent. Cordialement. La reception.

Local attractions

As well as a handy spot for urban amenities, Oloron-Sainte-Marie merits some time spent wandering through its historic centre. Start at the gothic Sainte-Marie Cathedral to see its ornate 12th-century entrance, then climb the Tour de Grede to walk along the town’s ramparts for some great views. It’s likely, though, that you’ll want to be spending much of your time here out in the open air. The Pyrenees National Park is about a 20-minute drive away, and there are heaps of hiking and mountain bike trails around the Aspe, Baretous and Ossau valleys as well. Cool off afterwards at Aqua Béarn, a vast waterpark 20 minute away with waterslides, bumper boats and a wave pool (plus plenty of space to relax or sunbathe). Thrill-seekers should head to the watersports centre in Oloron-Sainte-Marie to sign up for rafting and kayaking trips on the Gave d'Aspe and Gave D’Oloron rivers, take a trip to Escot (20 minutes’ drive) for canyoning, or board the shuttle to La Pierre Saint Martin, 45 minutes away, for skiing.

Bookings cannot be amended within 30 day(s) of arrival.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorization from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

Please select an electric hook-up if you wish to hire a fridge.

General

A state-issued fishing license is required (you'll need to apply for this beforehand).
Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
The bar is open between 07/01 and 08/31.
The grocery shop is open between 01/01 and 12/31.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Reception

Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. between 01/01 and 04/01.
Reception is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. between 04/01 and 09/30.
Reception is unmanned after 7 p.m.. Please inform the park while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time so that the team can provide information about your unit/site.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Open fires are prohibited.

Sites

You must follow management instructions when setting up your tent/rig and related equipment.

Vehicles

No vehicle movement between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Only one car is to be parked at the site. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
