What customers say

While the site offers a quiet, rural environment with clean, warm showers and nearby amenities, many visitors found it poorly maintained and seemingly abandoned. Issues included vandalized sanitary blocks, unsafe play equipment, and unsuitable pitch conditions. The absence of on-site staff and poor upkeep led to some guests departing without staying.

From the manager: Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Arden Parks Durbuy.
We are pleased to hear that you appreciated the cleanliness of our sanitary facilities, our location near the river, and the good communication with our team.

Regarding your remarks, the automation concept is part of the first phase of our opening. Once the entire project is completed, a reception and a cafeteria will be available for our guests.

As for the prices, they are clearly displayed and include clean sanitary facilities with hot water, soap, and toilet paper, as well as electricity, water, and green pitches – which is a different offer compared to public motorhome areas, often without sanitary facilities or included services.

We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again to show you the future facilities.

Disliked Geen receptie

From the manager: Beste,

Clean facilities, but no staff on site, as site is run remotely.

Liked Clean, warm showers and washing up facilities. Quiet. Football pitch and athletics track nearby. Local town nearby. Supermarket nearby.

Disliked Condition of the pitch not suitable for camper van/motorhome. Recently reseeded grass pitches. Soft ground and sinkholes.

Powered grass campsite

Liked Automatic barrier worked well but this was the only satisfactory element of the campsite.

Disliked As you can see from the photos attached to this review this campsite is extremely disappointing. Poorly kept, appears to be abandoned even though it is "open". Not a single guest in residence and we spoke to several people who arrived and left again when they saw the state of the site. Buildings abandoned, a construction vehicle in the play area, construction fencing bordering one side of the site with wasteland on the other side of this. No bin bags in the bins. Sanitary block vandalised and generally unpleasant. Weeds throughout the site. Play area with broken and dangerous elements of play equipment. We did not stay as we have young children and it was not safe, suitable or pleasant. We have requested a refund from the site or pitchup and both are so far not being at all helpful. I would strongly recommend against booking this site.

Local attractions

When you’re getting to know this leafy corner of the Ardennes, start your explorations in the maze of cobbled streets in historic Durbuy (10 minutes’ drive). Here you can tour the fabulously frothy interior of the Château de Durbuy, check out contemporary art in the half-timbered Halle aux Blés, and admire the skills of the gardeners who created hundreds of plant sculptures at the Topiary Park. There’s a 50-minute hike up to Durbuy Belvedere for views back over the pretty village. If that’s a hit with the kids, try them on the trail up to the landmark Rocher de Falize rock formation (50 minutes’ drive) for vistas down the Warche valley. Kids looking for more exciting action? Then it’s off to the zipwires, rope courses and escape rooms at Adventure Valley Durbuy (five minutes) for you. Families can lose each other (and meet up again, of course) in the enormous corn maze at The Labyrinth of Barvaux-sur-Ourthe (10 minutes), or try kayaking, paddleboarding and canoeing on the meandering Ourthe River (five minutes).
