Complejo Alto Valle is a family-friendly rural site 15 kilometres south of the colonial city of Salta. The site is just off National Route 86, so it's easy to reach the city's attractions with a short drive.
Despite its proximity to the city, there's a peaceful atmosphere here, where birds nest in the carob trees and wild blackberries grow all around. You've also got some great views of the nearby mountains from all over the site.
There's plenty to do nearby – the city's museums and historic attractions could keep you busy for days, or you could head into the mountains for hiking, horse riding and rafting trips.
Leisure facilities at Complejo Alto Valle include an outdoor swimming pool, a kids' pool with slide, a playground, a football pitch and a volleyball court. You can also fish in the site's fishing pond.
Among the other amenities are a washing-up area and toilet block with showers.
