Gazing out at those views is a wonderful way to pass a few hours – but presumably you’d like to get out for a closer look at that spectacular scenery? This site is well placed for lots of activities that will help you do just that, whether you’re into hiking, mountain biking, birdwatching or slow days of picnics, river dips and snapping pics.
Guests of all nationalities and all varieties – families, groups, couples, solo travellers – are welcome here, and you’ll be allowed to bring your dog along to join the fun too. There’s plenty of space for everyone to relax on the serviced pitches, and you’ll have access to handy facilities including drinking water, wifi, clean toilets and hot showers.
As for catering, you’ll have a choice between dining at the restaurant (serving traditional Albanian dishes and other meals throughout the day) and cooking your own at the barbecue area. A small shop stocks the essentials for those choosing self-catering, and there are supplies of fresh bread available every morning for a good breakfast.

Local attractions
The site is well placed for the hiking trails of Valbona National Park – a particular favourite is the day hike from Valbona to Theth via the Valbona Pass. There are also lots of options around for mountain biking, climbing, birdwatching and photography.
The river running through the valley is a good place for a wild swim or a waterside picnic; you could also visit local waterfalls or the attractive Xhemës Lake (five minutes’ drive).
For a taste of local life, take a visit to traditional villages like Rragam (five minutes), Dragobi (15 minutes) and Çerem (half an hour), tucked away close to the border with Montenegro.
