Route directions

From the A487 (coming from Cardigan) in Velindre Farchog turn right signposted to Moylegrove. Go up a winding hill through the forest for about two miles. When you reach a crossroads, go straight over towards Moylegrove. After around 200 metres the site is the first track on the left just after a right-hand bend. You will see a cattle grid, a big metal bin and a small sign that says Waunbayvil. Go over the cattle grid and follow track down till you see the sign for camping on the left.

Local attractions

This stunning part of Pembrokeshire is famed for its spectacular coastal scenery and its blue waters, part of Britain's only coastal national park. Wild swimming, adventure parks, castles, surfing, coasteering, canoeing and boat trips to spot seals and dolphins are all close by. Access the coast and the coast path three miles from the site at Ceibwr, to hike from Ceibwr Bay to the famed Witches Cauldron, or to go swimimng from the rocks or Ceibwr beach. The coastal path goes north from Ceibwr to St Dogmaels and south to Newport; get the Poppit Rocket bus from Ceibwr if you're not up for the four-hour hike. Other options include the Iron Age fort (and access to dolphin and wildlife boat trips) at Castell Henllys, 10 minutes' drive away; 12th-century Cardigan Castle (15 minutes) more watersports at Fishguard (25 minutes), and letting the kids loose at the adventure park of Folly Farm, 50 minutes away.
