Liked Val was very welcoming and friendly and helpful. Loved the hot shower after a cold night in the tent and the new toilet and shower block was lovely and warm. It felt a nice campsite even though I was the only one in the tent field. The people in the caravans next door were very friendly so I didn’t feel lonely 😁

Liked Superb and very clean facilities. Lovely flat camping field in a great location close to Broad Haven. A friendly welcome from Val and Jim. Nice to see a site that sets AND expects high standards so you know you will have a peaceful and pleasant stay.

Liked Everything. The site was spotless. Amazing shower block. Great that tents were only pitched around outside of the field to allow kids to play in the middle.

Liked What a fantastic site. We’ve been to quite a few sites now and can honestly say this may have been our favourite. The field is huge, as are the pitches, with so much space for the kids to play in the middle and you can always see them. The toilets, showers and washing up facilities are fantastic. Always clean and so well maintained, showers are powerful and hot too. I must also add in that the price was so reasonable for this site considering everything was spot on. Perfect location for all of the beautiful beaches and walks. Owners were so lovely and helpful too. We will be back, thank you so much for a wonderful week.

Liked We had a fantastic stay at South Cockett Camping! Val and Jim were excellent hosts – so warm and welcoming, and they truly went out of their way to make us feel at home. The site itself is beautifully kept, and the recent upgrades to the toilet and shower blocks are absolutely brilliant – spotless, modern, and a real credit to the site.

The pitches are spacious and well looked after, with great WiFi coverage (a big bonus!). Our boys, Noah and Harri, especially loved the football goals – a perfect touch that kept them entertained for hours.

There are so many fabulous places to visit nearby, as well as plenty of hidden gems off the beaten track to explore. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our trip.
A huge thank you to Val and Jim for an excellent stay – we highly recommend South Cockett Camping and can’t wait to return!

Local attractions

The nearest beaches to the site are Broad Haven and Little Haven, both spacious stretches of sand edged with waters popular for surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and fishing. A surf school is in Broad Haven. Both villages have easy access to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, running for 186 spectacular shoreline miles from Amroth to St. Dogmaels. From Broad Haven, hike the 11 miles to St Martin's Haven, via Little Haven and St Brides, or take the 12-mile path from there to Solva, past Newgale and Black Point. It's a wildlife haven on and around the water here too, so look out on your travels for seabirds on the cliffs and seals, porpoises and dolphins in the waters below. (Or possibly a UFO: the Havens were the scene of a few alleged sightings in the 1970s.) If you haven't managed to spy any marine mammals, book a dolphin or whale watching trip from the tiny city of St Davids half an hour's drive away, or a wildlife watching tour on and around the RSPB reserve of Ramsey Island, from St Justinian's within 40 minutes by car. Pembrokeshire castles are pretty well known around the country/world too, so take the car the 30 minutes or so to Carew Castle, a mighty sight on the edge of a 23-acre pond.
