Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked: We stayed here last weekend. This was our 4th year in Pembrokeshire but the first staying here. We will be back. Great service with a text prior to arrival advising of our pitch number. Nice and spaced out. Facilities were great. 10 minutes from New Gale or North Haven. 40 minutes to the boat pick up for Skomer Island. 40 minutes to Barafundal on the south coast. Great. Central location. Was a delight to have Fire Pit facilities. Was a bit windy when we went so pitching the tent was fun. Overall great value for money and we will be back next year!!

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Peaceful Stunning location with long reaching sea views and short walk to beach. Pitches well laid out on the edge of the field with ample space between them and level. Toilet and shower block very clean and ample hot water at the pot washing up area . One of the best sites I've ever been to and very good price.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked: The quality of the campsite was fantastic. The showers and toilets were spotless and had plenty of warm water. The camping fields provide plenty of space for each pitch and they are again of a very high standard. Couldn’t wish for a better place to stay, particularly due to the beautiful views over the bay.

Local attractions

Pembrokeshire’s perhaps most well known for its stunning coastline (there’s a good reason why it’s home to the UK’s only national park dedicated entirely to coastal landscapes…) A good place for Shortlands Farm guests to start is Newgale beach (10 minutes’ drive) – it’s got great waves for surfers (plus kit hire and lessons) but it’s also a great place for a stroll or paddle. Stop by too at Broad Haven (10 minutes) and the pretty harbour at Solva (20 minutes) en route to St Davids (25 minutes). The UK’s smallest city has some lovely shops and cafés to visit between tours of the cathedral and Bishop’s Palace, and it’s also the launch point for boat trips to Ramsey Island to see sea birds and seals. If the kids need something different from scenery chasing, try Dr Beynon’s Bug Farm (25 minutes), thrill rides at Oakwood Theme Park (half an hour) or animal encounters at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (35 minutes).
