What customers say

This well-maintained campsite offers a tranquil escape in a beautiful wooded valley, a short drive from Newgale beach. Guests praised the helpful owner, clean facilities with hot showers, and the charming penny candy shop. Pitches are generally good, and the sheltered location provides peace and quiet. Highly recommended for exploring Pembrokeshire.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Very welcoming host, Alys, she met and greeted us upon arrival, helped us with some supplies, any issues - she is available day or night; she also allowed us to choose a pitch ourselves as it was quiet (pitch 45 is very cosy and secluded); good washing facilities - powerful hot showers, clean and well cared for; great location to access local landmarks in every direction (by car); picnic tables and blocks to put the BBQ on available; very peaceful and tranquil place - we woke up listening to sheep on a nearby field, and a small running stream

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Peaceful site with lovely host. The pick and mix was a lovely bonus. A fair pleasanter experience during the August bank holiday than the tightly packed campsites directly on the coast.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked Back to basic pitches. Loved the fact that Alys met you on arrival and came around throughout the day making sure all was OK, She was amazing and gave that personal touch to the stay. No frills but extremely clean facilities.... perfect! No street lights, so when it went dark, it was dark and very peaceful.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Everything. Such a gem of a site. Quiet, beautiful area, spacious pitches and great facilities. The showers were lovely and hot and the toilets roomy snd clean with fresh flowers in! Alys came and introduced herself and was really helpful. Lovely, laid back and peaceful site, great for stargazing and with easy access to lots of beaches nearby. Three fields to choose from. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be booking again next summer!!

Local attractions

The seaside around here isn’t all surfing and strolling – you can also saddle up to canter through the waves in Nolton (15 minutes’ drive) or up the adrenaline levels with days of sea kayaking or coasteering from St Davids (20 minutes). Boat trips to Skomer and Ramsey islands leave from here, too, in search of seals, dolphins, puffins and other sea-dwelling wildlife. St Davids is a splendid place to visit if you’d like to stick to dry land too – the cathedral and Bishop’s Palace are must-sees, and there are plenty of places to pick up picnic bits if you fancy a stroll out to sea-view St Non’s Chapel (20 minutes) or along the coast to the pretty village of Solva (an hour or so). If the nippers demand a little more excitement in their lives, it’s around 40 minutes' drive to popular Pembrokeshire attractions including Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo and the Blue Lagoon waterpark.
